THANK YOU for joining in the live with Mike Waldt and I this evening. We both had a great time demonstrating for you and have been blown away by your generous donations to MIND, the mental health charity. You have raised a total of £1637.08 for them this evening. THANK YOU!
Mike and I wish you all a very happy and creative new year. :-)

Do you remember the Live Demo evening with the Woodturning Quiz hosted by Phil Boulter a few months ago where all the Super Chat (and other) donations were sent to Cornwall Blood Bikes?
Please see here a letter Phil has received from the Blood Bike Team thanking you for your donations . . . Phil and I would also like to thank you all again for your generosity. Well done, and thanks. :-)

Hi all. Here's the sapele piece turned in today's Live demo. I'm very happy with how it 'turned out'... totally unexpected! Thanks for watching if you did, and commenting and enjoying the banter....and if you sent a Super Chat - huge thanks to you. :-)

Here's the piece turned in Today's live demo. Didn't go entirely according to plan (as there wasn't a strict plan to go to), but it got the point of the demo across.
Thank so much if you tuned in and joined in the chat and banter....and huge thanks if you sent a Super Chat. Sorry if I missed giving you a shout out.

Coming tomorrow evening - my next Live stream: In most demonstrations, I get asked a lot of questions about how I sharpen my tools on my Robert Sorby Pro Edge sharpening system and it is difficult to answer them all fully. .
In this demonstration, I'll show you how I use it for my woodturning tools and share with you a few little hints and tips to help you get the best from the machine and the belts available. I should be able to answer most of the most common questions in the time, and respond to some others that you may have. The demonstration is neither sponsored, nor endorsed by the Robert Sorby company.

Remember the australian (malee?) burr I turned a couple of Saturdays ago on my live demonstration? I found the time to finish it this morning. The bottom was given a single coat of Danish Oil and my markers mark glued into the bottom. I also glued the piece onto the pedestal. Looks nice. I think it will go onto my website this afternoon for sale. www.msabansmith.com
