The new music I'm about to post is about storytelling. I've been known predominantly for launchpad videos, mashups and club-orientated music but when I strip everything back to what motivates me about making music it's all about connection with something greater. Hundreds of projects have been left dormant on my computer for years and I've struggled for so long to know what to do with them, until now. I'm finally giving myself permission to release music (of all kinds of genres) so that I can tell stories with others. This particular song is special because I've gained so much from the project (and it's not even released yet). From this project I've identified I enjoy making music of all types and really REALLY love making music with others, I've learnt that collaboration is easily my favourite part of being in the music industry. I've made a new pal and lifelong friend who I hope will make lots more music together, and I've found myself part of a team of people who really get the bigger picture about what this is all about. #addictedtoyou

My name is M4SONIC and I am an electronic music producer. I create live electronic music performances on the Novation Launchpad and other MIDI controllers to fight the common branding that "DJs are glorified button pushers” - quote from Deadmau5. In recent times “DJs” no longer have or need the technical skill required to perform live (the technology handles it) and so I’ve tried to shake things up in the EDM scene on how I think original electronic music should be performed.
