I gotta admit that the pivot of ai being the main focus of this account is something I didnāt see coming.
For those who are new here, I started Obscurest Vinyl in 2017. As a graphic designer, and a musician with a love of immature humor and vintage aesthetic, this account became an outlet for all of those things.
Over the years, Iāve designed a shit load of album covers (real and fake), merch, and even a coffee table book. I find great joy in absolute stupidity. Itās an excuse to design something every day.
Over the years people would joking say, āHey! Iād Iove to hear some of these songs!ā I have tried a handful of times to write, record, find talent, etc. but thatās not always feasible.
I was stoked when the technology became available to make some of these āsongsā a reality. It would be kinda crazy to not go back and add music to all of these records. I understand peopleās apprehensions about ai, but itās ok to have fun with it. My dream is to actually have the time to produce these songs without ai.
Anyway, Iām shocked and blown away by the response to all of this. Thereās a lot more coming!
