Honestly, I do not think about tension and relaxation much when playing the guitar. I remember years ago I played with a lot of tension in my hands and back. Before I entered the world of Classical Guitar, I was a steel string strummer of cowboy precision. As an advanced musician (cough, cough), I could play three or four chords together and even ābarredā chords, somewhat, with the best of them. However, I was bored with strumming. We had to de-scale our Keurig coffee machine. The thing had a light that blinked and was driving me crazy. The "Add Water" light blinks and drives me crazy as well. Apparently, I have an issue with lights that blink. However, after cleaning the machine and running 24 cups of hot water through it, that blinking light is now off!
