Ugh, Iām not a fan of crying. So for me to sit and sob uncontrollably for hours is rare to the extreme.
My poor partner had his hands full. Each time he phoned to check in, he would receive the only reply available to me at the time: āMy eyes are still leaking!ā
Yet it was exactly what was needed before I could even contemplate putting my fingers to my beloved keyboard and write my article for the Unapologetic Woman Rempowerment Magazine titled āThe Story of My Bonesā
Creating this issue has been a journey of profound transformation for me, redefining beauty, identity, and worth.
This edition features haunting images by award-winning photographer Carey Kirkella that will challenge you to redefine your own perceptions of beauty and strength.

Creating Issue Six of the Unapologetic Woman Rempowerment Magazine short-circuited my thought patterns in defining human beauty. It hit me at 3 am after weeks of struggling with the emotions evoked by the images for this issue.
Maybe itās because of my own physical transformation in this phase of life.
Maybe itās because of the loss of loved ones at ages which defies logic of the end of mortality.
Maybe itās the knowing that some of the ladies in the photos are no longer with us, and this is their final legacy.
Beauty is found in the eye of the privileged beholder - yes, we are privileged in the moment of witnessing Source Presence within a human body.
For the most part weāre so caught up in our goals and our dreams and our projects and our bullshit, that we donāt take the time to just sit and drink in the presence of the person in front of us, especially when that person is our reflection in the mirror.

A Profound Unveiling
There is an unspoken amount of trust in Self and the Universe when we choose to be the intentional co-creators of our lives. An unspoken amount of faith and courage to walk into the dark with an open heart, unwilling to wear the protective armour we were conditioned into slipping on as a second skin.

Creating this edition has been an extraordinarily confronting journey for me as a woman. In all transparency, I sat sobbing for days allowing oceanic waves of collective pain, grief and fear to wash over me whilst absorbing the essence of every contributor, both alive and not. It has forced me to redefine the beauty of womanhood, to reexamine my relationship with my body, and to challenge how I use her to define my identity and worth.
This issue is not for the faint of heart. The haunting images and raw stories within will challenge you to be present in the face of what society often hides. These pages are filled with the unfiltered truths of women whilst celebrating the visual art of those who have faced breast cancer, undergone mastectomies, and embraced their scars with unparalleled courage.

Iām an opinionated woman, and I highly recommend it.
I have opinions about everything - some from years of life experience, some formed through observation and study of human behaviour through spiritual laws, some just because they feel damn good.
I am also a curious woman, questioning my opinions every single day with the root question: Is this still useful in the creation of my next desired life experience?
I have no hesitation in the sharing of my opinions in conversation, after all, what is a conversation but for a sharing of thoughts, opinions, experiences and beliefs?
And I donāt expect everyone to agree with me. This culture of surrounding ourselves with like-minded people is toxic to the appreciation of diversity which once again stems from fear consciousness in that people are terrified of being abandoned, terrified of being convinced, terrified that they will have to change their minds to have a space of belonging.
If ever there was a time for women to find rooms of like-hearted, diverse-minded women to engage with unapologetically, THIS is that time.
Which is why Iāve created the Soiree for women who are just sick to death of all the masks, the elevator pitches, the transactional nature of relationships. Weāve all heard it before: our lives are a canvas, and we hold the brush.
Every choice, every intentional thought, every action adds a stroke to our masterpiece.
True artists have cultivated a love for the artistic process in and of itself. Unapologetic women have cultivated a love for life experience in and of itself.
We no longer hold our selves hostage to an ideology of what we need to accomplish to be worthy of a legacy. We no longer hold ourselves in a state of perpetual torture for the bodies we adorn, the ideas we share, the pleasure we indulge in.
And yes, for women such as myself itās been a process and a journey.
A journey of working my patooty off to become the coveted high achieving woman. A journey of high performance as a coach and practitioner of the masculine modalities made available to us at the time. A journey of self-remembrance, self-reclamation, and self-liberation from where to understand mindset is but a fraction of who we are when void of soul set. Itās about understanding feminine laws of spiritual creation and releasing all the limitations of the identity of a high achieving woman.
In this Iāve released the needs to be validated, approved of, prove my worth, prove my deserving. I no longer need to show the world my personal achievements as I allow myself to receive my desires through universal co-creation.
The high achieving woman has served us well.
But itās time for a new era,
The era of the unapologetic woman.
