Sony just dropped the NEW Sony FE 85mm F1.4 GM II which is a lightweight and compact telephoto portrait lens in Sony's G Master series. Article here on SonyAlphaLab: www.sonyalphalab.com/new-sony-fe-85mm-f-1-4-gm-ii-…
Building on the optical design of its predecessor, the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II features advanced elements that provide high resolution and beautiful bokeh. With faster autofocus and enhanced subject tracking, this lens is optimized for use with Sony’s latest Alpha™ series cameras. In addition to its advanced capabilities, it is approximately 20% lighter and 13% smaller in volume than the original model, ensuring portability without compromising performance.
The FE 85mm F1.4 GM II will be available in September 2024 for approximately $1,799.99 USD and $2,499.99 CAD at authorized Sony dealers throughout North America.
I'm hoping to get a chance to try it out at some point today, so please stay tuned for some sample photos!!

Finally Canon is allowing after market lenses like this awesome Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens amzn.to/4dyTOc4 to be sold for the RF-S cameras like the R7, R10, R50, and R100 for example. This APS-C specific lens is currently the best optical quality zoom lens available for Canon RF-S cameras in my opinion. In addition the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8, 16mm f/1.4, 23mm f/1.4, 30mm f/1.4, and 56mm f/1.4 are also coming soon which is very exciting news!
