It's #WorldBookDay and, for the first year, I view this as a published #author. I love the reality that my book will be a legacy not just of the subject matter, but also yours truly.

The @DavidWSmith channel has its first video in a while. Since retiring from my role at Women in Games within the global games industry, I am writing a book on the Bevington family of Potters from Hanley, Staffordshire, to whom I am related. Watch this space and subscribe for more information on the Potteries, especially Samuel, Ambrose John, James and Thomas Bevington, a dynasty of potters that made their impact in the Victorian era.
Victorian potters were the game developers of the nineteenth century, manufacturing and marketing entertainment product using both creativity and innovations in technology to sell to all four corners of the world.
Their product is in many a collector's portfolio today.
