Finally got my hands on a production R5 Mark II. Iโ€™ll take it with me on an adventure to remote Australia to photograph some rare birds and will share all my experiences in a video afterwards! This will be as real as it gets!
Let me know if you have any questions! Hereโ€™s two pics of the first bird I photographed with it, the amazing Cassowary! It came quite close to see for itself what that R5 II is all about and whether and upgrade would be worthwhile ๐Ÿ˜‰

1st Video of the New Year! One of the best experiences from the end of last year. I found these amazing fruit doves, but they were very high up in the trees, yet with a few tricks I managed to get some images. Which I share in this in the field video. It's quite amazing what can be done these days.

Do you guys enjoy the in the field videos? I don't do many, cause they usually sonnet perform very well unfortunately.
What are other videos you'd liked to see this year? There are lots to come for sure :D

By now it will be 2024 almost everywhere, so I wish everyone a great start into the new year!
I started the new year by taking about 5000 Crested Tern photos this morning!

2023 has been a year with ups and downs for me. At the start of the year I was recovering from illness and 4 month forced YouTube break. I am still working through things at this stage, but hopefully everything will improve even more in 2024 and I can get back to full strength!
I am very grateful for the support of the great community here and everyone's comments and likes etc! It's a joy to make videos for you.

Below a link to my personal favourite video I made in 2023. I could never find a good title for it, any good ideas?
It was one of the most difficult, but also most rewarding photo shoots I've ever done.

Still working on my 200-800 review. Itโ€™s a lens thatโ€™s a bit harder to judge, so Iโ€™m taking some extra time to give you the best assessment possible.

I am on a road trip, so it took a little bit longer to get this lens, but here it is, the 200-800. Spending time with it every day now, so I can get you a proper review before Christmas.

I am in the process of making a video comparing the new Nikon 180-600mm lens to the likes of the Canon 100-500, Sony 200-600 & Nikon 100-400. Any other lenses that you'd like to see it compared to and what are your main questions? Bear in mind I won't have access to every single lens out there :D
