This job was HUGE. But with patience, and the right tools, we were able to get it done just in time! This was a large investment, both in labor and financially, but we know it will pay off.
There are a few things you should never skimp on in a bus build, and insulation is one of them. 😊

It’s official. Irie, our DIY shuttle bus tiny home is officially off to its new owner. It was not an easy 2 weeks dealing with transport companies, packing, and moving into our tent. But we’re finally settling in to our new normal and are excited to get our new bus to the point where we can move in! 👏

Me explaining to the dogs that I know they’re going to miss our little home, but that they’ll love the new one even more… while convincing myself the same! We’re trusting the process and practicing our patience on a whole new level. 😅
Thanks to everyone who has reached out to check on us, we know we’ve been quiet but we’re doing great, we’ve just been busy and taking the head space to really be present.
The bus has changed so much just in the last few weeks as we slowly get everything in order to say goodbye and make the transition into a new bus that we will be building and living in. :)
We’re getting excited, and a healthy dose of nervous, and honestly at this point just feeling ready for the loooong waiting period to be over. The anticipation has literally been painful, and the dogs know something is happening. 😬
After weeks of waiting for Vermont to return our Motor Home registration, they sent us a registration that was wrong. So we had to wait another week for the corrected one to arrive so the buyer could place the transport order. 🙃 Murphys Law has been in full effect.
But now we have the complete and correct one and the transport will be ordered before the end of the day, which means Irie will be rolling away in the next few days. 😱 I suppose I should start taking down the decorations now, but honestly they’re what make this bus so us, so I haven’t had it in me to take any down until the very last minute, and that minute has arrived.

Such good times. It’s funny that when we initially set off on our #buslife journey, we envisioned heading into the forest and being in solitude. We didn’t come into the lifestyle thinking about the community or friends we’d make along the way… but it turns out the people we’ve met along the way have been just as impactful as the beautiful places we’ve been able to call home.
The nomad community sure is a special one and we’re grateful everyday to be a part of it. 😊

We're Miles and Sinclaire! After taking 10 months to covert a 2002 Ford E450 Shuttle Bus into our very own tiny home, we have now been living full time on the road for 4 months!
During this time, we've encountered a lot. There have been lots of ups and downs, and we're really still getting the hang of this whole, "living on the road" situation; so, we figured... why not take others interested in this lifestyle on the journey with us?
We hope to give a first hand look at what bus life really looks like, from struggles to victories and all of the craziness in-between.
We will also be doing some informational posts just from basic information about our conversion and tips and tricks that we think someone looking to make the leap into bus life may find helpful.
Join us as we continue to learn all about what living on the road full time in a self converted, moving tiny home, really looks like.
