The Phaistos Disk:
The artifact has been identified as a dining and activity itinerary. A reference utility for what to serve and whom to have present for a thirty or a thirty one day month.
The disk indicates 61 days dining, plus icon specified human activities. It is comprised of 61 configurations of 38 courses, averaging four courses per day, each of which will fan into half a dozen entrees' that will feed a king, counselors, heirs and dignitaries of the trading empire. So, one might surmise that in the palace of Phaistos, you can count on an average of 24 entrees' in a given day.
CONTEXT:
The artifact was lifted from the rubble of a Minoan palace that was shattered in the most resonant crisis of ancient times.
The sinking and resurfacing of the 'other' ground zero of the events described by Plato.
The island of Crete.
We can now retrace the hours of danger and envision acts of heroism and witness the moment the disk was dropped.
The Phaistos Disk takes us there.
