The documentary film, The Dhamma Brothers, tells a dramatic tale of human potential and courage as it closely follows a group of prisoners in an end-of-the-line, violent maximum-security prison in Alabama as they undertake an intense, difficult journey in search of inner peace and redemption. As part of a program called Vipassana, they must meditate in silence and stillness for 100 hours over the course of 10 days, facing the truth of their crimes and their past. Will they be able to ride out their storms of emotion and sit through their pain? This film has the power to dismantle stereotypes about men behind prison bars.
