Remember: In order to be exceptionally well prepared for the ASVAB or PiCAT, you DO NOT have to spend a dime.

You certainly DO NOT have to create an account on some sketchy website.

And you certainly DO NOT have to install a mobile app on your phone, which more often than not gives some unsavory actors access to your personal information (yikes)!

Instead, consistently using just the free resources listed below, you can make significant improvements in as little as a week to a month!

And if you don't believe me, here is some feedback from just the past week!

Yo thank you for helping me brush up on things I forgot. I got a 98 and qualified for nuke

Hey man,i want to say thanks to you very very much,i just took my ASVAB and Scored 88! All thanks to you. I did PiCAT last week and score 98 but for some reason after i finished my verification exam today it automatically rolled me to Full ASVAB,it was Frustrating but i pulled through and got 88! I been studying for past month using your videos and did all your practice exams twice, used Math Reference sheet and Word knowledge reference sheet today morning as a final revision before walking into the MEPS building. Keep doing what you doing🙏🏾

Just passed the PiCat with a 89 thanks to you 🎉🎉🎉

Took my ASVAB today and got a 92! Thank you so much for your videos- the practice problems you showed actually ended up more complex than the ones I received which was great because stuff felt like a piece of cake! At the beginning I didn't even know what a radical was and now I can confidently say I actually have fun doing math, so thanks for the good in-depth videos you make.

Thank you grammer hero I started with a 41 AND raised it to a 76! Thank youuu so much! Your content really helped me!!!!

just wanted to say thank you I just finished my Asvab got a 73 and the ST score I needed for a combat medic 111 was my score I needed a 101!! Thank you so so much

Sir, I gave my ASVAB and scored overall 68. I am looking to improve my GT and i scored 109, but i need more than 110 for OCS. I got 60 in AR, 50 in wk and 47 in PC. Are there any tips to improve my PC?

hey grammer hero, yesterday i retested for my asvab and my score went from a 36 to a 66!!
i just wanted to thank you for all the help you're truly a blessing man much love.

So i went two days ago straight into meps fully expecting to get a score of 70 or less. Because of you Grammar Hero, i got a score of 83. Insane, thank you so much!

Can't remember if I posted or not about the news, I'm sworn in with the Navy and I got the job I absolutely wanted! My rate is CE (Construction Electrician) and I'll be with the Seabees! Thank you so much for getting me where I needed to be!
Fyi guys I graduated high school in 2016, in a couple months of watching these videos I got my ASVAB score to a 56! Trust me, you won't get any better of a study guide than this channel right here! I also could've done better if I gave myself more time to study the other topics. Based on the job you want it's important to focus on mechanical comprehension, auto and tool shop and electronics information. If you just want to get in the military and don't care too much about what job you get focus on math, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension.
Oh I ship out September 3rd!

Can't thank you enough man! I used many guides and this channel was the best and it's free. The other one I used charged money a month. When I found this channel I cancelled my sub to that channel, and focused on this channel.

Hey grammar hero I just wanna say THANK YOU for all of your videos. Going army infantry but I'm an overachiever so I wanted a high score. Studied your vids for about 3 weeks and got an 81! You are the sole reason I passed the asvab

Had previously scored 62, retook the test today to score 76, according to the recruiter i improved in every component. Very helpful videos. Appreciate the work and thank you for the help.

If someone who never finished high school used my free content to score an 88 on the ASVAB, do you really think you need to spend any money on test prep, apart from maybe buying a study guide from Amazon or Barnes & Noble, for the ASVAB? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For the vast majority of you, the answer is: in my opinion, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

I can't stress this enough, but on this YouTube channel, I've covered almost every topic you need to know in order to get a perfect score on the ASVAB for FREE. 🖐️ 🎤 mic drop

Truth be told, if you really need tutoring to pass the ASVAB or PiCAT, you'd be better off enrolling in a math class at your local community college, and I say that for two reasons: (1) it will almost certainly be cheaper and more effective than online tutoring, and (2) you'll get college credit, which can help you with your effort to join the military. Moreover, most community colleges have free math tutors on staff, too. That sounds like a win-win-win to me.

That said, I still do believe the vast majority of you will pass the test by studying independently and diligently for about a week to a month!

Please don't spend more than $30 to $40 on test prep for the ASVAB, and by that, I mean you should buy a test prep book at most!

Remember: the ASVAB is a test of basic knowledge, and using nothing more than free resources, the vast majority of you will pass it on your first try, as long as you study very diligently for a week to a month.

I've done my best to make this obvious with the playlists on this channel as well as my website:

1. youtube.com/@GrammarHero/playlists
2. www.asvabapp.com/

If you need a personal tutor, find one in your local area.

The unfortunate reality is that many of the online tutors either (1) do group tutoring, which is very ineffective for people with individualized learning needs, or (2) are not American or are impersonating Americans, which is a common method scammers in India use to defraud people (these can get very sophisticated, so be careful).

For example, be very wary of anyone who makes wild claims about their experience: if someone claims to be a nuclear engineer, this is a clue that they are an imposter. Truth be told, most nuclear engineers are too busy making six-figures or more to waste their time doing test prep for the ASVAB! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Before you apply for military service, it's important to make sure you understand the process. These helpful tips should make the process easier.

1. Contact a Recruiter

For help with your decision, first reach out to a recruiter to discuss your interest. You can do this on the following websites, by phone, or e-mail.

Air Force: www.airforce.com/
Army: www.goarmy.com/
Army National Guard: nationalguard.com/
Coast Guard: www.gocoastguard.com/
Marines: www.marines.com/
Navy: www.navy.com/

2. Interview & Screening

When you connect with your recruiter, be prepared to discuss your goals. You will learn about opportunities that best fit your goals, and your recruiter will ensure you meet the basic requirements to join. If you both agree joining is the right decision for you, you'll begin your new journey.

3. Testing & Examination

The first big steps include a standardized test and a physical exam administered by a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).

ASVAB

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is used by all military branches to qualify for enlistment and will also give you an idea of what jobs you are most suited for. If you haven’t already taken it, a practice test given in your recruiter's office can predict how you’ll score.

Physical Exam

A complete medical exam and drug test at MEPS ensures that you meet service medical standards. Prior to scheduling your exam, you’ll need to submit a detailed, well-documented medical history for MEPS to review.

4. Background Check

Once you have a qualifying ASVAB score and medical exam, your recruiter will ensure all other qualifications are met, such as criminal background and credit checks. At this point, your path will change based on what program you’re applying to. Active duty enlisted, reserve enlisted, and officer applications have different procedures.

One of the last steps in the process will be a national security background check.
------------------------------------------
Helpful Tips

Build a relationship with your recruiter early. Your recruiter will have the most up-to-date information and is experienced at walking applicants efficiently through the process.

Do research. Review the qualifications and eligibility requirements for joining. Look at what careers and programs match your personal goals.

Assuming you already took the ASVAB and saved the printout of your scores, you can use the following resources to determine what military occupational specialty (MOS) you qualify for:

Air Force: www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab/asvab-and…
Army: www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab/asvab-and…
Marine Corps: www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab/asvab-and…
Navy: www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab-and-navy-…

Focus on fitness. To improve your chances of being approved for service, you should commit to a healthy, fit lifestyle as soon as you consider joining. Don’t wait.

Treat it like a job interview. Your professionalism will be evaluated by your recruiter. Present your best self.

Stay organized. You own your application, so you must make sure it’s complete, accurate, and timely. You may need to collect detailed documentation. Keep your important documents in a safe and accessible place. Make sure you meet the deadlines set by your recruiter.

Note: If a tutor attempts to solicit your information to put you in contact with a recruiter, don't provide it to them. They are trying to get your contact information, so they can spend spam to your phone and e-mail.
