Hey everyone. It's been a crazy month or so, in a good way, and as the world celebrates Christmas I just want to say two things.
1. Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you have a great one whatever you are doing and wherever you are.
2. Sorry for no videos and radio silence this past 4 or so weeks, I basically haven't seen anything in the cinema and the run up Christmas has been super busy so I just haven't had a chance or the energy to make a new video. I am going to try and do a casual 2024 run down in between Christmas and New Year if I find the time. I'm going to come back and make waaaay more videos in 2025 and I'm really looking forward to it.

Gagging to get a new video up but a few things have come up this week that I’ve had to put things on hold and I’m away all weekend at my best friends wedding so no videos this week.
Hopefully I’ll get one done next week 🙌🏻

It’s unfortunately looking like I’ll not get a video up this week. Still to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and having a super busy week or so of events and life stuff that I just can’t give YouTube the attention it needs.
I was away all last weekend and I’m away all this weekend too.
I’ll be back next week. Thanks to everyone who’s been watching, it means a lot to see those numbers ticking up and to read your comments.

I've been quiet for two weeks as I've been working on something fun and a lot more involved for editing.
I've loved the cinema since I was very young... but when I was 7 one movie lit the spark that probably changed my life.

It’s been great getting back to reviewing movies on YouTube. I properly love doing this, and these last few weeks I’ve become deadly serious at keeping on with it. Devoting time I would have otherwise wasted playing video games, planning and organising so I know what I’m doing week by week and becoming more consistent.
I’m also looking at new content formats in this INCREDIBLY competitive and saturated world of YouTube film critics. But I truly am super passionate about reviewing so for now I’m just doing what I know I really want to do regardless of the market. It’s extremely hard to incorporate other formats without it being amazingly time consuming in the little time I have as I work full time. We’ll see though, I just know I want to continuously improve in both finished product and my workflow to get these made and be proud of them.

So, yes out of the blue I've just uploaded. It's taken a lot of time and effort to come back after a few months of not doing anything, but here I am, albeit with a video that's late to the game with The Acolyte.
For anyone who's tried YouTube content creation before, you know the effort that goes into making just a simple 5 minute review video. I have to do everything myself and with a full time job, and other out of work commitments, planning in and managing my time with this has been something I've had to sit down and work on.
But, now I have a proper plan. Going forward videos will be generally shorter, but hopefully better for it. I will endeavour to upload weekly, but again, I have to be realistic with my time.
Ultimately I love making and uploading videos and sharing my thoughts on films and shows. If you enjoy what I do I have nothing but gratitude for you, thank you.

More reviews on the way.... I've seen so much but have got a rotten cold so speaking to camera is a no go at the mo, unless you want a bunged up mess of a man on your screens.

Hi I’m Dan and I love films and going to the cinema. I review films and TV shows new and old.
I’ve always wanted to create movie reviews on YouTube and after years of trying other forms of content creation here I am 😁
I know there are a lot of film critics out there on YouTube but if you love films and cinema, and you like your reviews to be snappy whilst giving you plenty of insight but no spoilers where possible then you found the right movie review channel.
I don’t do this full time as I work a 9-5 full time job so I try to upload at least once a week.
