Dr M. S. Ramaiah, a great visionary, an enterprising industrialist and a philanthropist established Gokula Education
Foundation (GEF) in the year 1962, with the objective of providing high quality educational services through
private, self-financing education setup. The polytechnic was established in the year 1997, under the banner of GEF
with the sole objective of providing technical education to those who are not in a position to afford higher
education and thus deprived of technical education.
