Design Build Fly at the University of Washington is a student-run organization with the mission of providing large-scale project experience for students enrolled at the university. The team competes in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Design Build Fly (DBF) competition. Each year the AIAA releases a set of flight missions and detailed design requirements for the university teams to follow. Our team rigorously examines these requirements in order to design, manufacture, and test an aircraft optimized to fulfill these mission parameters while developing skills applicable to our future careers.
