James Earl Jones was the last of the actors that portrayed Darth Vader to pass away.

So, I originally thought about doing a video on this topic. But, it's been a while since I've posted my thoughts in the community tab here. So, I decided that I'd rather place my thoughts here & discuss with you all why it was best that The Acolyte didn't continue & why for me, I'm very glad that Andor is finishing with it's second season.

Many of us already knew that The Acolyte was getting pre-review bombed by some within the fandom due to early script drafts being released & then eventually on-set images like a year or more before a trailer was released. For me, most of the time, I'll watch a trailer & will hold my judgment until I watch at least 4 or 5 episodes of a show before I either continue watching or never pick it back up. That's me though. I do wish others would have this mindset, but at the end of the day, people are allowed to watch one episode & then never watch the rest of the show ever again. I kind of find that interesting simply because the story & characters were never given a chance to expound on what that show was trying to share with the viewer. But again, people don't have to invest their time into shows that don't capture & entertain them quick enough in the opening episode. For both The Acolyte & Andor it mainly depends on how well these two shows went with the direction on the story & how the characters were being presented for the viewer. Many people did indeed stop watching both shows after the first 3 episodes. A lot of stuff happened action wise for both shows, around or past episode 4. And I have seen that some star wars fans decided to give Andor another try & they enjoyed the rest of the show. But the numbers just didn't hit the mark for both. But, Andor did better than The Acolyte. And Andor has more fans even if it's not by a huge margin. But because there is more amount of fans & better amount of reviews that are on the positive side for Andor which is due to this reason. Again, I'm very glad that Andor is getting its last 12 episodes to complete this show that will walk us right into Rogue One. Due to The Acolyte's pour writing & story & things that they put in this story, it was best that they did not renew the show for a second season. Many fans just didn't connect with many of the characters in The Acolyte, while many did connect with many of the characters in Andor. I was really hopeful for this show way before we even got the on-set images before a trailer was released. I've been on record saying this in past videos & streams. I was hopeful that we got a full on Sith story where the Jedi weren't that present & it was a dark & very raw show. But we didn't get that. And I even heard that Leslie Headland originally wanted her show to be just that. A full on dark Sith focused show, but Disney made her change the script to what we got. But, I don't really know how true that really is. And now I'm concerned for this new movie that Lucasfilm greenlit that is supposed to be set like thousands of years in the past, which may be in the Old Republic era because will they really allow the director & his writing team full reign to give us a film that has adult hearts super excited & running to theaters to see this movie or are we going to continue to be on a track of what Disney has given us these last 2 to 3 years that haven't brought joy to many star wars fans in the fandom? I'm just glad that I can still sit down & watch the first 6 movies & continue to love what George gave us & the many EU books & cΓ³mics of old that still stands the test of time that hopefully in the coming future, we'll get better stories & better characters. I'm still hopeful for a very raw, no holds barred Darth Bane movie trilogy. I want to see that in my lifetime.

What do you all think of this subject? Let's talk I the comments below & remember........The Force will be with you.......always.
