Hey Beautiful People! Just an update 1 week after surgery. Unfortunately the breakthrough pain has gotten even more intense over the past couple of days. I called my doc and he moved the goalposts on me back another week. Some people are further along by now and some are further behind, so I guess I’m right in the middle as far as recovery time goes. I’m getting antsy, but I was literally not able to do a damn thing yesterday or today. Still listening though. CVJ Bidong, S12 2024 and the Meze 99 Classics are getting a lot of love. That’s where it stands for now. Hope to be back at it soon. ☮️

This was waiting for me when I got home from the hospital on Tuesday! I have been listening to the S12 2024 and I gotta say that I can hardly wait to review it! UnFreakingReal. Best planar I’ve heard to date, but I haven’t been able to a/b with the Artti T10 just yet. I’m definitely in the throes of breakthrough pain, so I’m basically stuck on the second floor for now. Just gotta make it through the next couple of miserable days and I’ll start to feel better. ❤️🩹 I’ll update y’all this weekend! ☮️❤️

When I was packing for this overnight stay, the Kefine Delci was the only set I could think of bringing. Not just because of the pleasant sound signature and warmish quality, but also because it is easy to drive, comfortable and not too expensive (in case it disappears). I picked the KiwiEars Allegro because it’s tiny and cute. 😂
I gotta say I feel better than I thought I would at this point. Doc says it went smooth as silk and my bone density is excellent. If I stay on this trajectory, I’ll be heading home this afternoon. So thanks to y’all for all of your support, positivity, prayers and well wishes. The mental aspect of recovery is very important and you’ve all been a big help with that! I promise I won’t rush it, but I may be back to reviews quicker than I thought!

I just had a really stupid exchange with one of my now former subscribers regarding age-related hearing loss. They were very disrespectful and I ended up giving it right back to them. They left. Good riddance. But it did prompt me to do some hearing tests. So, in the interest of full transparency, here are the results:
I am good up to 13KHz. I think I heard 14KHz, but it was very faint even at high volumes. Suffice it to say, I am not getting anything past that. So, if you feel like the 14-20KHz range is important enough to invalidate my assessments of headphones and IEMs, I cannot argue with that. I won't argue with that. But let me say this. 13KHz is not "pleasant" sounding as it is. And if I am missing everything above that, it is NOT impacting my enjoyment. I am 53. Age-related hearing loss is real. That is where I am at. I hope y'all stay with me. We have so many more earphones and headphones to discuss! Peace.

Okay, here is the graph of both nozzles on the EW300. You can see that the gold nozzle really pumps up the bass. It is damn good bass though, especially for Hip Hop, Electronic/EDM and Reggaeton!!! Review will be up in just a few hours! Stay Tuned!
