I'm a singer-songwriter who loves a whole range of music. My own songs cover a range of themes, including love, pain, hope and loss. The artists I admire include Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Natalie Imbruglia, Cher and Diana Ross.
Singing provides me with the blessing of endorphins as pain relief for my connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. As well as causing lax joints, dislocations, digestive and heart issues, EDS does provide me with hypermobile vocal cords, which is very useful for big songs. One cord is however paralysed most of the time, so I do regular Rocky-style training of the other one so it can compensate.
I sing as Abasudika on Smule, where I've met amazingly talented friends who I learn from every day. I host a show called Smule Satellites as well to showcase singers.
My philosophy for life: No one is more important than me and I'm no more important than anyone else. We're all on our own journeys in life and everyone deserves respect.
