Hello Initiates!
Moving forward I will try to update you all monthly (I would like to do weekly but that's too ambitious for now). I have written the story arc for all of Season 2 and have written the story beats for 6 episodes. I have now finished Episode 1's script first draft and have begun storyboarding it.
This is going to take some time to do, as I want to make sure I have every frame storyboarded before I start filming. The reason behind this is that when I have done this in the past, filming and editing took (not exaggerating) up to ten times quicker than when I didn't. The downside is that I don't have much imagery to share with you for now.
Next update I will share some of the storyboard frames and see what you think. I'm really excited about this one, looking forward to sharing it. I hope you like tanks...

It's been a long time, but I'm back. If that's what you're here for, then I thank you for your support and I hope that excites you as much as it excites me. If you'd like more information about what's happened, then keep reading. If you end your reading here, that's all good too. I appreciate all of you.
Longer story:
For two years I have considered letting the channel be and moving on. MW8 burnt me out and I took an extended break afterwards. I honestly didn't know when I'd be able to make another video due to a housing crisis I had to go through on top of losing my motivation. When I did come back with what was once called MW9, it wasn't fun to make. Not only was it not fun to make, but it didn't match the tone/theme/story of the previous episodes.
MW9 was painful for me to make. I didn't have the passion and I knew the story was nonsense. Both YouTube and my audience felt that when they watched it, as reflected in the feedback but also in the low views. There are some really cool moments in it, I am especially proud of the room clearing scene and the Alien Fighter arriving. Those are awesome moments. It is the best-sounding video I've made. I love the way the guns and bullets sound.
However, it wasn't a "good" Micro Wars video. It has a lot of things that don't make sense and it also misses out on the key part of Micro Wars: Humanity coming together to fight against aliens. Also tank battles. I love tank battles.
To finally come back from being burnt out from MW8 and the house crisis and make a video that not only did not do very well in terms of views and fan feedback, but I also personally didn't like it. That destroyed my motivation. A month after what was once called MW9 came out, I quit the channel. I did not want to make any more videos, and I didn't even log in to my account to read comments for months at a time.
But, recently, the spark has come back. I want to make videos again. I want to see the humans fight against the aliens. This time, however, I will not be repeating the same mistakes. This time I will be finishing the scripts for all the episodes BEFORE I start the filming process. I will be planning the videos properly to make sure they have the best story they can have and the best battle scenes I can put on your YouTube screen and so I'm not lost in the editing trying to figure out how the story works.
As I create season 2, know that Micro Wars 9 has been renamed and is no longer part of the canon. I have left it up because removing it is unnecessary, but anything that happened in that video is not part of Micro Wars. There will be no Lego in Season 2, that plot is dead. The new story picks up right at the end of Season 1 with the Traitors and the Saurians working together to hatch a new plan.
I don't see Season 2 as a continuation of the channel, I see it as a restart. I believe that the YouTube algorithm will not be kind to me as it has been far, far too long between my videos for another surge of views to happen. But I am ok with that. Before Micro Wars 4, my videos used to get no more than 30,000 views and I was excited about that. So I'm not going to worry about views, I'm going to make something cool. Something that you can all watch and enjoy.

Hello Initiates,
I have written the story for season 2 now. I'm very glad I did, it's much better and it's back to what we all want to watch and back to what I want to make: humans vs aliens in big battles! The video I released this year has been renamed and it will stay up, but it is no longer part of the Micro Wars story. Instead, the next video will continued the story from Season 1 directly. I'm excited to make the next one, it's got tanks and lots of explosions, plus the story continues straight from Micro Wars 8. The Saurians are coming back, but this time they have a lot more firepower...

I have been reading feedback about MW9 and also thinking about what I want for Micro Wars moving forward. I have decided to scrap the original MW10 plan and start again.
This is a good thing, don't worry. A lot of people enjoyed MW9, but there was a lot of very fair commentary about it not being "exciting" or "epic" enough. MW8 was an all out tank assault on aliens and MW9 was kind of just a little gunfight with no real story. The traitors are confusing and people miss humans being united.
I feel the same way. I agree with these comments. I am proud of MW9 but I agree it's not as exciting. I want Micro Wars to be epic, I want it to be exciting.
Therefore, the new script for MW10 immediately takes it back to epic. Big scale, aliens vs a united humanity.
I'll do my best to post more updates as I create so you can be part of the journey.
It's gonna be epic.

Hey all,
Unfortunately, Micro Wars 9 has not performed well. I tried changing thumbnail and title, but alas the almighty algorithm has not been interested and I have returned it to the original thumbnail and title. Thank you to everyone that watched it, I have loved reading all your comments. I am very proud of the work I put into it. For those that read this, rest assured Micro Wars will continue. I have the next four episodes planned out. To give you a taste of what I have in the works:

- Classic Army Men
- Naval combat
- World War 2
I can't wait to continue the work, thank you so much to all of you that stuck around through the 2 year break. Many more stories and battles to come.
