I had chosen a new controller for my #PS3 as the goal and slowly, but surely, we beat the goal.
Because the controller i had been using was suffering from bad stick drift, i was limited in the content i could do from the PS3. even the #XMB videos took a couple of attempts as the stick drift could change the menus!

I have set up a new goal over on Ko-Fi, something a bit more adventurous and expensive. together, you and I are going to aim at getting a #PlayStation Vita TV!
This would enable me to make #PSV content as well as give me a "cleaner" way to do #PSP content, apart from the XMB stuff as there is no XMB on Vita.
I know it'll take time, so there's no rush. but together we've already cleared one goal so i'm sure we'll do this one eventually.

Unfortunately i have to cancel the public playthrough of the #Switch version of #Loopers.
my videos have received a copyright strike and must be removed.

going into this game, i didn't know exactly what it was. you can hear my commentary across both parts where i talk about how i'm not actually controlling anything. well, after the second part i looked up what this game actually is and it's a story, a Kinetic Novel. so there is no interaction between me and the game's story. it's a set story that we're watching play out. i imagine "spoiling" the story is one of the reasons for the copyright strike against the public videos and not the unlisted videos i've uploaded for Ko-Fi.
As for next week's Story on Tuesday, i don't have a video in-mind. it's possible i may not upload a video next week and there may not an upload until i've finished playing Loopers for Ko-Fi. I'll try to keep the Tuesday Live Stream of #Splatoon3 going so there'll be some sort of upload on Tuesdays.

XMB Game Preview Update!
Starting from Tomorrow, 27th June, i will be releasing REVISED XMB Game Previews. For Example:
1) Mirror's Edge is getting 2 fixes, it's icon and it's music.
So previews that need fixes like these will be coming.
2) Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition
is getting it's release information fixed.
So previews with incorrect release information will be coming (Tho it may only be Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition
)
3) Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is getting an audio fix as the looping and unlooping versions have different levels. Either one or both of them will be revised
All REVISED XMB Game Previews have been re-recorded so the video will be different. i've also recorded their audio via Optical, like i have been since Remember Me, so there maybe sound improvements.
The original videos will not be deleted. instead, i'll mark them as "Unlisted" so if anyone has the original link it will still work.
ALSO, i will go through the released videos and try to make sure the descriptions say whether the music loops or not. it may take some time to check them all. thankfully this is mostly limited to the earlier uploads.

ONE MORE THING, a while back i downloaded all the PSP stuff i had from the PSN and got what few games i had left sent back to me. i will be uploading videos from these. so it'll be a mix of UMD games, PSN games, and demos. However, back in the day i was mostly a UMD player so i don't have many PSN games. i also don't have many UMDs anymore.

So what will happen is that i'll continue the PS3 XMB Releases with PSP XMB previews when i switch from even to odd release years. so it'll look something like '06, '08', '10, '12, '14, '16, PSP, '07, '09, '11, '13, '15, '17, PSP, '06, ...
Of course, the limiting factor will be whether i have games for certain years or not.

For today's #PS3 #XMB Game Preview from #Capcom's Remember Me, youtube.com/shorts/U_bAuT1C0_8, i have tried something different. the music in this preview was recorded separately from the video using the #PlayStation3's Optical Out Port. I knew that in-game, you can't record from it. but as i had a bit of free time, i wondered if i could record from the XMB and i can!
It's possible this approach may mean the Game Preview is louder than before, but i also hope that the audio quality is better. BUT, because i use a potato of a computer and the software i use is also not very professional, i can't take advantage of such a high quality .Wav file. Plus YouTube has their own compressions and there are other things like the device you play this on, your own speakers, etc...etc...
So for now, i hope things will sound a little better, a little clearer, and if more people like and subscribe and donate over at Ko-Fi, ko-fi.com/qtegamers, i may be able to make even higher quality videos in the future.
I'm thinking about re-doing a couple of the earlier previews, like Mirror's Edge youtube.com/shorts/agcTfum12r8 for example, as i hadn't fully got my style sorted. by doing an updated one, i can improve the audio and bring it's visual style in-line with current previews.

I have abandoned my play through of Aaru's Awakening On #PS3.
This isn't the first game i've stopped playing, but this is the first one i gave up on because i was unable to make progress.
There are numerous reasons why, but i gave up after spending nearly an hour and a half stuck in the game. unfortunately, the game's platforming mechanics aren't good enough nor consistent enough for the amount of tricky platforming it has. I was also frustrated by level design that felt designed to get in the way, to punish the player.
And of course, anyone familiar with my PS3 content will know about my issues with stick drift. This game was getting unplayable at times because of it. it's bizarre that this game had soo many issues whilst #CounterSpy was mostly fine.
With no donations to ko-fi.com/qtegamers this means i don't have the money to fix it or get a new controller. so this may mean that there'll be no future PS3 content for a little while until i can come up with a solution. maybe i can borrow one from a friend, maybe i'll find a second hand one cheap with little to no stick drift. unfortunately, my options are limited and will remain limited without donations to this channel.
The video i was recording at the time won't be uploaded. out of frustration and in need of venting, i deleted the content.

to celebrate 150 videos, i have uploaded the extremely rare Game Preview for Metal Gear Online - Premiere β.
this game was not released as a standalone game in the west, it was part of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
But, the Beta for the game was released separately. so this is the only way the game preview for Metal Gear Online could be seen for those outside of Japan.
In Japan, it was released on disc so i will be looking for the Japanese retail version.
