Return to Bosco's Garden! After over 9 months away, fate has decided that it is time to return home.
I recently came across an amazing job opportunity that would compliment and support our work at Bosco's Garden. I applied for it, and thanks to all the work we did over the past few years, they saw my passion and gave me the gig! It is a dream job that will push me to new limits, and I'm insanely excited about it. I won't say too much yet, but stay tuned for more details.
Here we are back at the airport. I'll be coming back first, and Kay will be coming soon. See ye shortly Ireland! ✈️🇮🇪

Hiya folks! I present to you the culmination of 4 years of work. Longer even.. -> https://youtu.be/MjQH5aYIR6Y
For years, before we started Bosco's Garden, I had wondered how I could marry my two passions of filmmaking and permaculture. In 2020, I saw an opportunity and somewhat reluctantly began making YouTube videos about our garden, which through my obsessive nature, eventually turned into a small farm. 😅 This obsession led me to mostly put filmmaking aside and go all in on the garden. ...But little did I know, I might have been making a film all along!
This is our story. A tale of growth. A film and a dream, many years in the making. A dedication to my brother, Bosco, and our garden which we named in his memory. A testament to the utility and satisfaction of gardening/farming with nature. I hope you enjoy it.

Hiya folks, lots of new subscribers recently, so here's a little introduction;
We are Shane and Kay Hatton, and we have a passion for real food and nature. In 2020, after growing our own food for many years and practising permaculture, we started Bosco’s Garden, named in memory of my late brother, Conor ‘Bosco’ Hatton.
We started small, growing in a veg garden space of 150m2 while planting trees for a future food forest and selling veg to mostly friends and neighbours.
In 2022, we expanded the garden further, began supplying restaurants, and the rest is history!
Our humble farm shop in a tent beside the garden has now become extremely popular with Kilkenny foodies who are drawn to the rich flavoursome taste, colour and smell of our living food which comes from healthy, living soil in an abundant and diverse garden filled with all manner of creatures.
I am a filmmaker and photographer by trade, but this year I am devoting most of my time to farming. I try to make as many videos for YouTube as I can manage while also maintaining our market garden, but if you want to see more regular updates from us, you can follow us in Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Cured onions separated into:
1. Bolted - to be used first since they won't store well.
2. Storage - will last until next May.
3. Sets - for early planting next year.

We are Shane and Kay Hatton. We have a passion for food, nature and growing things. In 2020 we began creating our permaculture food forest and no dig market garden in Kilkenny, Ireland. We have been filming the process from day one while also making videos of our visits to other permaculture and regenerative farming projects.
