The correct answer for the teaser about the MALCOLM train of 23rd September was ... .......... about the eighth wagon from the front had two 20 foot containers on it. In my six years plus of watching the MALCOLM train virtually every day it runs and more recently every traction change day, I have never seen a single 20ft on any MALCOLM train service. So well done Garage Tracks on Tiktok ..

I think is mainly down to the fact that the containers on this service are 45ft plus and they wouldnt fit one 20ft box alongside these. Some of MALCOLMs containers are 50ft in length, so a 20ft box wouldnt fit on those even more so. I have spoken to the former DB Malcolm and now Freightliner expert who watches this channel and he thought that 20ft boxes have been on MALCOLM trains before. Should you have video'd or photograph'd this, please message me and reference your capture link.
There is a funny element to this as Hornby make a container set with the newest MALCOLM branding on it which is made up of a 40ft and 20ft container pair. It's my understanding that both of these containers are not accurate on the size:

Please Hornby can you make a correct MALCOLM box of either 45ft or 50ft in scale length.

Its expected that 90021 and 90039 are to be moved today. I am totally gutted. I can't be there to see this as the path was only put in place last night.
The headcode is 0T45 and they should be passing through Crewe station late morning

Missed the 90s on MALCOLM tonight, reliably informed they were 90003 and 90047. I've seen first pictures of 807010 and that's going to be one to get folk talking for sure. The interest around the plans for the Class 93 are only going to ramp up now that 93007 and 93010 have arrived into the UK as well.

A great day was to be had by the enthusiasts at Crewe station for a festive variety of movements. Santa and the reindeer didn't arrive but technically 1S25 ( 1 Santa 25-12 wasn't due till midnight.). A big thank you to Sarah @sydney_bridge_tmd and Alex for helping me make my mind up to stay for the 93. Merry Christmas to one and all 🙂

In typical fashion, 807006, the latest of the 807s to head to the WCML has dodged me on 5Q16 and is currently heading south to Wembley, it looks like it may have briefly stopped to give us Staffordians a peep, at P1 ..

Today's trains giving me the slip .. 92020 returning to Wembley. 807004 on 3A95 and the 90s on 4L67 and 4M88.
Hopefully I should get to catch one or two in a bit 😉

The one Electric loco Class which I somehow, Sleeper aside, keeps giving me the slip, are the 92s, it used to be Malcolm (90024), now, sadly in the absence of the DB90s, which I would love to see returning to traffic, almost more than the 93s or 99s ... even though the 99s could really be a game changer if GBRf deply on more than just intermodals .. yesterday, i was unable to get to the station to catch the light engine 92020 and then ran out of steam .... noooooo Sparks .... to catch the returning 92011 ... on 0K06 ...

Missed the GBRf92 returning to Crewe IEMD this afternoon, and it even came into P7 briefly I gather, according to my guardian angel Rail enthusiast @stuartharris2165
My last Dyson sighting was very much a flying visit as the YIWU 92 was "skipped" through a few days ago

Welcome to Johnson Street IEMD, which forms two parts
Number One is - a "close to exhibition standard'' fictional end to end OO gauge layout inspired by Crewe IEMD, and is a satellite depot for some of DB Cargo's electric locomotives, primarily Class 90s, which are being maintained here for a variety of purposes including Malcolm Rail. The depot is operated by DB and is located somewhere south of Crewe and north of Daventry's DIRFT facility. The method of control is DCC.
Number Two is, is the locos that inspire the above, this channel has evolved to focus on electric traction more broadly since the end of the Class 90 under DB Cargo. Electrics, where they operate and the evolution and operation of the Classes is the focus of the content here. Freightliner now operate the most Class 90s by some distance and their recent change of operations for more maritime and inland intermodals as of early 2025.
Update - My channel now has a merch page - tee.pub/lic/AznnttPDfBM
