G'Day everyone! I am currently in Byron Bay, Australia!

Dylan O'Donnell invited me to do a 'Hot Ones' style challenge last night... and he captured the whole thing 😳 youtube.com/live/rg3KgT2CUUw?si=8U_CAbewfkK2R55Z

The Elephant's Trunk!

I hope you guys have had at least a FEW clear nights so far this summer! If you are looking for target ideas - try 'IC 1396' in Cepheus (northern hemisphere). It looks pretty great using almost any focal length! (this one is at about 400mm)

I am working on a really cool video that will premiere on Friday - where I attempt to take the best image possible in only 1 HOUR! It was a fun challenge, and I think you guys will enjoy it.

Clear skies! - Trevor

The Wizard Nebula! 📷

Here is my latest photo of the Wizard Nebula from the backyard. This emission nebula lies in Cepheus, and if you have a clear view of this constellation, you can capture it this month!

Wishing you clear skies🤞

At what point is a deep-sky photo 'over-processed'? Where do you draw the line?

Astrophotography is very subjective by nature, but there are some key characteristics that all great images have in common:

I managed to capture 2 hours on this beautiful nebula in Cygnus last week (in between the rain and smoke!) 💨

It has been a tough year to be a backyard astrophotographer! I'm thinking about you guys - don't give up! 👊

The Moon! I am kind of addicted to capturing the moon's surface right now. This was taken through a Dobsonian telescope using the 'video mode' on the ASIAIR. New Video in the works!
