I really loved Natlan's live symphony performance! I wondered if it could match previous years, and it absolutely did. The cultural representation, ethnic instruments, vocals, and overall orchestration - everything was brimming with emotion and soul, making it a truly great experience! Both Natlan's main theme and the Anthem of the Savannah (battle theme) were excellent. I believe the vocals were in Swahili, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Some people are disappointed that Natlan's original travail theme seems to have been scrapped or possibly repurposed, similar to what happened with Fontaine. Personally, I would've loved it as Natlan's main theme, but I understand why it changed. It's common for music to evolve, especially as a game's vision develops over the years. There's a valid argument to be made that the travail theme didn’t quite fit the cultural inspirations the developers ultimately drew from.
It's also worth noting that regional themes have changed since YPC left the team. He recently mentioned that he wanted the younger generation and other talented composers to take the spotlight, which wouldn’t have been possible if they were bound by his earlier compositions. Hoyomix, particularly Dimeng Yuan, likely wanted to carve their own path and showcase their expertise with a fresh take, and I respect that decision.

As a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, I can't pass up on Kinich after seeing his gameplay. His playstyle reminds me so much of Sora (especially his Wisdom Form). But I also want Mualani.... Anyways, I'm hyped! :D

All jokes aside, it's been almost exactly two years since I uploaded my very first video to the channel, and now we've grown to an amazing 10,000 subscribers! I never imagined hitting such a milestone with my music. Thank you all so much! 🥰
This journey hasn't been without ups and downs, a lot of hard work, dedication, and countless hours spent honing my craft. With almost two years behind us and my next upload coincidentally being the 100th video on the channel, that's about one video every week. Two years straight of consistent, weekly uploads - I'm honestly surprised and proud at how regularly I've been able to make and share music with you guys.
Will I be able to maintain this pace in the future? Who knows. One thing I do know is that my workload has increased significantly. Over these past years, I've been diligently improving my productions skills and raising my own quality standards. Making music takes a lot more time and effort these days, and I'm still just doing this in my spare time. I promise that I'll keep working hard and giving it my best!
Whether you've been here from the beginning or you've just joined, thank you for being part of this journey. I hope you'll stay with me as we continue to explore new musical horizons. Your kind words, encouraging comments, and feedback mean the world to me. Seeing people engage with my music has kept me motivated and eager to create more. With the latest Natlan preview teaser, the team at Hoyomix has once again blessed us with intriguing new music. Too bad it ended just as the vocals were about to come in - what a cliffhanger!😭As with the last teaser, the music blends indigenous, Spanish, and African influences, reflecting what seem to be Natlan's vibrant cultural inspirations. This time around, the featured instruments, rhythms, and melodies are especially reminiscent of Afro-Peruvian and Andean music. Also there was a didgeridoo??? I'm super excited for Natlan's soundtrack!!
