As we move closer to the start date of A Hard Place, as with any movie, things get more and more hectic. Shifting cast and crew availiblities. Rising costs. Planning set logistics. Scheduling. Rising costs. Setting up rehersals. Production meetings with different departments. Scheduling flights. Booking air b and b's. Dealing with talent managers. Did I mention rising costs? I often wonder especially at this stage, on just about every movie, is it really worth it? And sometimes that's a hard question to answer. Then you have that 'one' meeting with an Actor, or Dp or costume designer or AD (whoever) where something just clicks. And the actual potential of the project comes into clear focus, even if it's just for a second. It's these kind of moments that keep me blazing ahead making movies. **and yeah, rising costs.
