Just a little upgrade to my Dual Boiler's shower screen, holder, and gasket. The new one seems to be distributing water more evenly than the last one. Gonna pull more shots before making conclusions about it. Maybe I'll do a detailed long-term review of the Dual Boiler too.

Life update:
I'm still alive. I'm closing the cafe this month. Well, we've been unable to open since August because we've become busier photographing weddings. Still the "cafe" is still practically intact, just no longer serving for anyone else except ourselves at home. 😊

A bit of a sad news.
I was in the process of editing a new cafe vlog video for February. However, I didn't finish it. I just couldn't find any energy or enthusiasm in making a video. Further distancing me from making cafe-related content is I have decided to restart my photography career. I've been shooting some events lately and I have a couple of weddings coming up. I just don't have time anymore. My home cafe will still continue although it will have an irregular operating schedule as I will have to close it during days when I have photography work to do.
I am happy to say though that so far, doing both the home cafe and photographing weddings/portraits/events has been pretty fruitful for me. I just bought my dream camera, a Fujifilm GFX 50R, to use on my photography work. As for the home cafe, the burgers are selling quite well especially now that we have a new bun supplier that can give me buns closer to what I like. Coffee has been selling even better now. Just today, I had to make a lot of 'em back to back. Things are doing great and I am feeling very happy about everything.
But sadly, I cannot make any videos anymore for now. There's just a finite amount of time and energy I can spend on things and, right now, I just can't spare any for this channel.
I don't know if any of my past viewers can still see this post but I just want to say thank you for watching my videos and commenting on them. I truly appreciate it.

Descaling day. I do it every 6 months. It's a good opportunity to check the parts for wear and tear and for leaks. All good, 2 years in.

Having a frustrating time shooting videos lately because my shotgun mic goes silent frequently. Most of the time, it goes off in the middle of recording and I won't be able to notice because I'm busy doing something else. So frustrating to have nice footage but there's no audio. 😔 I need a new mic before I can continue making videos. 🥲

Happy that I got motivated to make a video even if it wasn't that well thought out. Hoping to get back into making a compilation video of me working at the home cafe. I'll probably aim for a once a month release for that.

It's been very rainy since Christmas day. We actually got flooded on Christmas day so I spent the next days cleaning up. All is well but I wish it would rain less. Unfortunately, I've really been not in the mood for making any videos. I take a lot of pictures though which I usually share on Instagram. I hope everyone's having a great new year!

Unfortunately, life has been a bit busy with a dash of stress for the past month or so. That's why I haven't been able to make new videos at all. But I'm still alive, my home cafe still chugs along, and I'm still doing whatever floats my boat. Hopefully, I'll be able to make videos again. 🤎
