I am as disappointed as the next person that Harry Kane has left Tottenham. Do I blame him ? No not really, he could have done a Sol and string the club along and got himself a bumper signing on fee and gone anywhere he wanted. He didn’t he was up front with the club and told them he wasn’t staying. So do I blame the club for taking the money? No not really. Given that Harry wasn’t staying then there is not a business out there that will turn down that kind of profit.
So I understand why Kane would move on now Tottenham are going into a rebuild lots of young players coming in new manager who will take time Harry is 30 and probably feels he hasn’t got time to go through it all again.
But ultimately this is down to the club and the decisions they have made the direction they have taken us this is down to them.
There has been a continual pattern of selling our best assets and not investing and building for success. Harry will have seen it.
Sky sports talk sports and all the other media types ex players and so on have also played their part. Harry needs medals. Well it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to start touting him around for a return to the PL as Germany isn’t good enough and it’s tin pot cups! I give it a season.
For this to be seen as a success for Harry he has to have a CL winners medal otherwise it will be written off. He will need to break Shearers record it’s the only one left. Maybe if spurs can actually get somewhere he may consider a return one day who knows.
But one thing is for sure I supported Spurs before Harry Kane and I will support them after Harry Kane. No player is bigger than the club.
Harry is gone let’s move on and get behind the team. Up the Spurs
