In this topsy-turvy world where water appears unannounced, it's crucial for both parties to understand their obligations.
Your Property, Your Responsibility - Proactive measures like clearing gutters and summoning an army of sandbags are essential to keeping the deluge at bay. Alas, should aqua apocalypse happen, that handy-dandy insurance policy becomes the shield against the financial monsoon – because let’s face it, no one wants to foot the bill for your tenant's new indoor pool. Keep those premiums up and hope your insurance agent isn't all talk and no pay when the waterworks show up uninvited.
Tenants: Your Five Steps of Preparedness - Talk about getting your feet wet – literally. As a tenant, there's nothing like that sinking feeling you get when a flood sweeps away your favorite recliner. So how do you prevent such a 'splashing' spectacle?
