Some sad news. I learned today that my friend, "Dtroy" Johnny Lara passed away last week at the age of 53. Last year, he retired after a career serving as NJ police officer and moved to Houston, TX. Dtroy was also the host of Axis & Allies - The Garrison on YouTube. As I was just getting started with BGN, his work and dedication were an early inspiration to me.
After decades as a constant positive presence and supporter of historical gaming events across the country, I know that the news of Dtroy's passing is felt by the entire Axis and Allies community and beyond.
Dtroy, thank you for being a good man and my friend. You will be missed.
