Hello everyone, first off I want to thank each and every single one of you for all of the support and for watching these videos. I can't believe this channel grew from 100 subscribers to 200-plus as I roll into my 15th season doing a fantasy wrestling league! I appreciate this a ton, thank you all so very much.
Secondly, here is a little history (or reminder, if you're a long-time viewer) about what I'm doing as we roll into Season 15.
14 years ago, my friends and I decided to take our love for wrestling video games - especially Japanese wrestling video games - to the next level. We each formed our own promotion, held a 40-man draft and started running shows leading to our yearly WrestleMania-esque show called Fighting Road (FR 15 is tentative for later this year). Things have died down a little in the PGS but I've continued running cards while expanding my wrestling world. Here's a breakdown of what I'm doing:
NJPW - this is my company for the Puroresu Gaming Society - which is comprised of my friends and I. Whatever happens in here affects the five-company PGS. It will also be my home for tournaments - I try to run a tournament a month for my different divisions.
CHAMPS
IWGP TV Champion - Hiroshi Tanahashi (opponent picked at random every show - hit 15 title defenses and you can cash in for a shot at the IWGP Quadruple Crown or WAR Championship - or even the IWGP Tag or Junior Heavyweight title, if one prefers/fits the requirements)
IWGP Tag Champs - Nigel McGuinness and Will Ospreay
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion - Kota Minoura
IWGP Quadruple Crown Champion - Yuma Aoyagi
WRESTLE AND ROMANCE - This company is built around the legends of the squared circle. Win your match and move up a slot on the card. Work your way up to earn a shot at the WAR Championship. Lose and you fall down the card. Lose in the opening match and you're eliminated from competing until a new champion is crowned.
CHAMP
WAR Champion - Stone Cold Steve Austin
KENSUKE OFFICE - this is a brand-new promotion built around wrestlers under 30 years old. The wrestling world - especially in Japan - is full of talented wrestlers under 30 and it's fun to see who might be the best wrestler.
KENSUKE OFFICE CHAMPION - Rising Hayato
BUSHIDO - this is an MMA promotion focusing on the strikers of the wrestling world along with some random MMA stars. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue doing this - it's been 14 years and it started off as a Fighting Road featured match before turning into a monthly thing, but I think it's starting to run it's course. I can have my mind changed on this, especially if people like this division and want to keep it going.
CHAMP
SHINGEKI - Georges St.-Pierre
I also run a random cruiserweight show on the weekends called Saturday Morning/Night Cruise or Sunday Morning/Night Cruise.
