I have been playing the piano for more than 50 years and have never lost my love and passion for this wonderful instrument. Even after so many years, I still find time to sit down and play virtually every day. I have many favourite composers and love lots of different kinds of music: Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Satie, Chopin, Shostakowich, Gershwin, Thelonious Monk, Yiruma, Ludovico Einaudi, Keith Jarrett, Liz Story, Raul di Blasio.....the list goes on and on. After playing nothing but acoustic pianos for many years, I recently changed to a hybrid piano (Kawai Novus NV5) which has the normal action and soundboard of an acoustic piano but has no strings as the sound is produced digitally. I do not envisage ever going back to an acoustic piano.
