Decided to check out the grundig after last nights fiasco and I really donāt know whatās going on š with a full load of towels thereās normally nearly double the amount of water in the tank than whatās in it now and went to the heat exchanger and noticed itās all super wet compared to normal. Behind the fins looks soaking. The camera canāt pick it up but youād think the base had lots of water in it in a sense. Not looking too good for me š„²

I CANT MAKE THIS UP HELP š
So basically I done a full load of towels in asko on allergy cottons 90. My towels love to cause my machines balancing issues so it took a really unbalanced final spin and tried for 1000rpm but had to slow down to 800rpm. Stuck it on respin and took unbalanced spin again which could only make it to around 1200rpm and slowed down to 1000rpm. Itās only limited as slow as 800-1000rpm for 2 loads so far so it isnāt typical for it to limit like this. Knew the dryer would take a decade to dry if I just went and stuck it in it or I could be there for a bit trying to balance the towels out in the Asko so stuck it all into Aeg as it has bigger drum and doesnāt care about balancing. So it spins first try super unbalanced spin and limited to 1200rpm but span at it for a good 3-4 minutes. I had the machines running in the background of a Miele Novotronic cottons 95 water plus full cycle video which will be up at some point so I brought that in around 10:30pm and waited for grundig to finish drying a load of bedding.
GRUNDIG I am not joking has been on for like 5 or 6 hours with these towels š (itās stuck doing 2-6-2-6 at 5:20am while Iām writing this and has just finished just before 5:30am) I really could do with making a video on this as the drying performance has gotten really bad on it the past few months but this has became beyond a joke ā¹ļø. Looks like Iād better start saving for the matching dryer to the Miele in the kitchen š„²
I know whatās causing the excessive drying times but it would have to be fully stripped down to fix it. All they needed to have was a foam filter at the bottom like they used to so the fluff canāt get in through the heat exchanger but because theyāve removed that from their current models soggy disgusting fluff falls in behind the fins and blocks the inside of it all up. I was gobsmacked at how much fluff the Askoās one prevented from going in through it (the picture was taken after it had only dried 2 loads) a foam filter is a must to me now and Iām just so disappointed beko built that planned obsolescence into their newer heat pump dryers as the Grundig was absolutely fantastic for the first 2 years even if I said otherwise at timesā¹ļø. The fluff on the flap in the 4th photo is as much as you can get out of it. Itās very hard to clean it with it all being soggy. Askoās photo probably hasnāt turned out the best as it was from a video.
Poor hoover maybe itās spin performance isnāt as poor as I thought it was š„²
Fluff filters are both cleaned after every load, Heat exchanger is cleaned regularly as best as it can be, dryer wasnāt overloaded (Asko has 60 litre drum) never ever buy an appliance from a second hand appliance shop though thatās a whole different story for a later date. itās all fun and games at Adamās house š

Hey again everyone went to Currys and done a bit of recording in it. With my anxiety I found it quite hard to do a proper Currys overview and sadly only filmed about half of the washing machines they had on the shop floor and some I just whizzed past. A Currys guy came past and then someone else came to have a look at machines and I just didnāt feel comfortable filming but Iām so happy with what I got filmed. We arrived at the store not long before it was closing time so only got a 6 minute video filmed but found 4 new Bekoās on the shop floor with the most basic new one without Energyspin being plugged in which I was happy to see.
Know Beko is quite controversial now in the community especially with drama from the past and Beko going in the āØplastic fantasticāØ direction (BYE BYE BEKO CONSPIRACIES 14 YEAR OLD ADAM BYE BYE ADAM BYE SEE YOU IN 2056š) so while the main plan of my visit was to see them bekoās in person I apologise to you all that I didnāt get many other brands filmed š„² itās ok to go with what you love/the brand that youāve made special memories with and itās also really good to take the plunge and try new things outside your comfort zone if you can! Take it from the guy who bankrupt himself as much as possible with an Asko set for his eighteenth after badmouthing Asko a year ago and a similar story goes with the hotpoint active care I had š
I managed to get a few hoovers filmed then with how I was feeling whizzed past Hotpoints and filmed a couple of Hisenses and an AEG but I didnāt get too much compared to my Currys videos back a few years ago š„ŗ
After seeing these Bekoās in person Iād like to give the 9kg (8kg) normal display one a go at some point as it has normal motor and normal drum design even though itās stupidly small for 9kg but weāll wait till quite some time after IFA for that as I have a VERY big dept to pay of first š I have Askoās to keep me entertained at the end of the day haha

Asko dryer arrived yesterday! Gonna stick up first proper video with the washing machine and overview of the dryer now. I let it sit for a day for the refrigerant in the compressor to settle before use so will most likely be doing my first load in it today.

Heading to my local currys soon. Really hoping Iāll have the confidence in me to film what they have on display properly for the first time in a few years. If I donāt Iām sorry but Iāll try my best š„ŗ. Expecting A LOT of new Bekoās on display lol Iāll be like a kid in a candy store as havenāt really seen the new ones myself except for the 2 blombergs and lower end beko in euronics š

Iāve had a heck of a lot happen today but to my shock asko dryer is coming tomorrow (well today lol) very VERY excited absolutely love and appreciate the staff at my local store I swear. Think I might do another update video tbh lol

Think the Miele novotronic was possibly only meant to last me 3 washes š„ŗ I havenāt filmed reveal/update video so will be talking about both this and the professional one in it (things are looking good for the professional one though so at least thatās a plus š„²) Iām hoping itāll be better tomorrow with the issue I have with it at the moment but if not then yeah Iāll be quite sad tbh but these things happen š„ŗ Iāll explain it all in that video but door seals arenāt fun at times ā¹ļø

Hey everyone you may have seen me talk about this in a comment or 2 but yesterday a new washer arrived at mine!
For those who donāt know my 18th birthday is coming up on Sunday so really wanted to treat myself with something memorable for it that was a little more my style š (swear I think this is it with brand new washers for a while the second hand market has been so dry here š„²) I was set on a beko energyspin washer and dryer set for like a month straight and then something happened and energyspin plan has been postponed (yes again š) Iām gonna make an update/reveal video and Iāll talk more about that situation in it as itās a bit of a long one š
The new machine has shocked me BIG TIME and I really mean big time and thatās after only 3 loads of washing plus a drum clean and rinse cycle to make sure it wasnāt leaking. I was originally gonna try it out for a week or 2 before saying Iāve got a new washer but hey here you are lol and Iāve decided youāll get to see what I got on August 4th aka my 18th birthday š
The hoover has also now been taken outside and a machine from the shed has been put inside (not new one) I done all the moving on Monday while preparing for new washer to arrive so have only done 1 wash in the hoover but it definitely seems to drain better on spin outside though of course it does still have quite a bit of water left in it on spin but isnāt anywhere near as bad.
Kitchen washer will be revealed at the same time as I reveal brand new washer so thatāll be a fun video haha I think itāll be a bit of a shocker š
