NEWS! The old stock exchange building (BĂžrsen) in Copenhagen caught fire and much went up in flames this morning đ
This is a 400 years old building, a historical landmark and considered a leading example of the Dutch Renaissance style in Denmark.
For us Scandinavians loosing this building can be compared to loosing the Notre Dame in Paris.
It was painful to see a video earlier today of the Dragon spire falling down. The four intertwined dragon tails of the dragon spire were topped by three crowns, symbolizing the former Scandinavian empire â Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
We can only hope that this beautiful building will be re-built and restored to its former glory.
