This picture was taken 10 years ago on our first holiday together in Cornwall. We were 22, head over heels in love, and asked a stranger to take a photo of us on a hired tandem bike on our disposable camera. During that trip we asked each other if we could always be friends - no matter what. And we finally managed to turn that feeling into a song...

Some thoughts: the new βͺ@sylvanessoβ¬ album is so good, life is better without a phone, stracciatella flavour ice cream is really underrated, everyone is inherently good and if they're not it just means they've had troubles in their life, it's really hard to sleep when it's hot, bright colours make you feel better, our asian tour is so soon ahhhh, and there's 7 weeks until our new album 22 Make is out and the front cover is strangely the same colour as these doors and my jumper and the inside of my brain

1 year ago (yesterday) π§‘πΈ we drove ourselves to Marylebone town hall where I cried uncontrollably during our whole ceremony and then drank so much champagne I fell over and now I have the best scar on my knee to remember the best day

A frustrating post...
As you know we had planned to release the second half of our break up / make up story next week with our fifth album "22 Make". We have been lingering in the heaviness of our previous album "22 Break" for 10 months since the record came out, and we were so looking forward to sharing the joy, love and uplift of Make and closing this turbulent chapter of our lives.
For reasons beyond our control, we have only just received this test pressing of the vinyl today, despite handing over our finished album at the start of this year to our record label. This means that our vinyl won't be manufactured and ready until October.
Whilst we could just release the album next week and wait for vinyl, we have decided not to do that. Why? We are so damn proud of these records, and we want to properly celebrate the songs that have ultimately saved our band and our relationship. In a world of digital, a vinyl means something. For us, there would be no greater feeling than releasing our album and heading to our local record store to buy a copy - the vulnerability, struggle and pain would have been worth it.
So... our fifth album "22 Make" will now be coming out on October 7th, strangely exactly 1 year after "22 Break" was released.
