Why do we need miracles today?
1. Miracles reveal the power of God.
2. Where the presence of God is, arguments are stopped.
• The prophets of Baal and Asherah could not argue against what prophet Elijah had proven, that the power of God was supreme. (1 Kings 18)
3. Miracles increase faith through manifestation.
’My preaching was not based on persuasive words, but on the demonstration of the power of God.’ (1 Cor 2:4-5)
4. Miracles draw men to God.
5• The children of Israel turned to God after the prophet Elijah called down fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice.
6)There is no greater power than the power of God (Zech 4:6)
• The Church has been passive, allowing false powers to be elevated.
• There is no evil power that can match the power of God.
• We believe in the miracle power of God.
• The Word of God is true. (Is 54:17)
• God healed yesterday and He heals today in Him there is no shadow of turning.(James 1:17) Man has limitations
• What God can do far exceeds what man can do.
