Founding Mazuma in 2006 at the age of 23, Lucy launched the world’s first subscription-based model for accountancy services and catapulted herself into notoriety as an agent of change in a profession that had remained male, pale, and stale for generations.
One of just a handful of women to build a multi-million-pound accountancy business, Lucy has consistently pushed the boundaries, broken the glass ceilings, and forged a path for those who follow. She is passionate about female empowerment in business and regularly speaks on stage about the topic.
An outspoken champion of mental health matters in the accountancy and tech space, Lucy was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award 2021 (Accounting Excellence Awards) and the AAT Past Presidents Award in 2022 for her work in advocating for better mental health awareness in the profession.
