Hello,
The next video is about a book known in English as "Once a Jailbird" by Hans Fallada. It will spoil the book at some point, and it will seek to get you interested in reading it. The book is about the life of a man after prison, and was published in 1934 Germany, having been written starting in 1925. It is implicitly about prison reform. The Nazis didn't like it. I can't say much more than that for now.
See you then

Hi.
I've just enabled channel membership on here, as a bit on an experiment. For now, the core of it is just being supportive, I don't intend to do any kind of members-only stuff if I can help it, as it's not my preference to do so. I am considering in the future doing slightly early releases for members and patrons, but that's not settled as of now.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or ideas on that. I feel like some of the benefits of something like a membership are already available in my discord as is, and it feels weird to cut those away or paywall the discord for the sake of "providing value" and as always, I'm hesitant about adding things that eat into my schedule. And if I stream I think I'd rather just stream for everyone, if that makes sense.
In video news. I've split a ballooning project in half, and unfortunately, the half that comes first chronologically was the one my script covered far less (trust me, it makes more sense this way, somehow) so there's a little bit of a delay. I'll be doing another post pretty soon that talks about the subject, so people who are really interested can get ahead of the game a little and maybe read the book I'm covering as a bit of "homework" so to speak.
That's all for now, let me know if you have any ideas for membership stuff, patron stuff, and I guess I can import my discord emotes for the channel members or something.

Probably going to be able to put the outro together tomorrow, and upload, so this is last change for getting in on credits, over at Patreon.
In other news (see image), Ubisoft Connect bugged out for me... or something, and I haven't been able to open the game for days (a shame, as I was planning to actually play 4 to the end for once, and I didn't get any Rogue footage), so forgive if some of the B-roll images repeat. Fights didn't seem in the spirit of the video, so a lot of the footage I alredy had was not applicable, and I only got so much incidental sailing without the HUD recorded. I'd rather repeat that than randomly have a compass and lifebar in some clips.

So I'm getting a ways towards the end of the Sea shanty script, and I thought I'd ask everyone,
Is there a shanty from Assassin's Creed 4 that you might want a little history on? I've got the specific examples picked out that I need to make certain points, but I can also consult my source book for any specific one that people seem particularly interested in. Comment yours and I'll go with the most mentioned one, (unless I'm already covering it)

Fallout New Vegas video got to 1 million views before the Lorkhan one, which means nothing, really, but I was sorta rooting for a surprise upstage. Oh well. Time to find a dev who can answer the very stupid question "so was the white suit thing intentional or a bug?" with "... it's a bug"

Hi everyone
If you've come from one of the two recent videos, you might like this channel, @Gitshiver-- it'd be especially good and helpful for people who want to get into morrowind but are a little intimidated, but also if you're a veteran of the game, there's videos like the one I'm linking that talk about hidden and obscure things. And finally, there's a series about the TR and PT mods, so you can check those out if you're curious about the extended world I talked about but don't want to take the plunge yet.
Either way, I recommend it.

Last call for getting in on the patron credits for this video. It's the big Elder Scrolls Worldbuilding one, and I'm hoping to have it done some time tomorrow if I'm able, maybe the day after. I've got around 48 minutes out of the ~54 total edited, so it's nearing completion.

Hi,
I'm into the editing phase of the next video, it's going to take a little while, clocking over 50 minutes, but hopefully it's worth the wait. There's still time to get in on the patreon credits, I reserve recording those til a few days before posting, if I can help it. www.patreon.com/c/Rosencreutz
Beyond that, I thought I'd update that the script for the video after that one is largely written already, so that turnaround will be quicker. Granted, it's a surprise option, not the sea shanty one (yet). It's not ES related or anything. If you're new here, welcome to the content whiplash that keeps me sane.
Also I thought I'd share an old image from when I got my typewriter, because I stumbled on it today, and it's Very Stupid™

Given the uhh, recent success of the Lorkhan video, and the news about the Oblivion Remaster, I thought it would be smart to "update" the title of this video, to make it more clear from the outside that a large portion of it is about the Elder Scrolls approach to Vampirism specifically. It's not solely about that, and casts a wider net, but either way, maybe it's of interest. watch video on watch page

I'm told I overthink things.
I don't think that's so bad.
There's a lot of topics I cover but a core of it would be history and games, and games about history. "Media analysis" in all the vague ways that means anything.
