Hey everyone, Oli here! 👋
A quick message for viewers of both Hyperfocus: Quantum Reality and The Skeptic Scientist.
I wanted to share something a little new today... and honestly, something I feel a bit nervous but also excited about! 😅 I've just launched a "Buy Me a Coffee" page.
As many of you know, creating these channels is my absolute passion. I pour my heart, soul, and lots of late-night hours (after my day job!) into researching and making these videos exploring science, philosophy, and skepticism. ❤️
It's always been important for me to be transparent, so I want to be clear: I don't currently earn any income from YouTube for this work. It's truly a labor of love.
A few wonderful people have asked over time if there was a way to support the channels directly. That's why I set up this "Buy Me a Coffee" page – as a simple, completely optional way for anyone who gets value from the content and feels like helping out. ☕
Support directly helps cover costs (like better gear, software) and allows me to dedicate even more time to creating videos for you.
There are options there with small perks (like exclusive posts or voting), but please, please know this...
Your viewership, your comments, your likes, and your shares are already MORE than enough support. 🙏 This BMAC page is absolutely optional. It's just there if you want it. There is ZERO pressure.
Seriously, whether you check out the page or just keep watching – thank you, thank you, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being part of this incredible journey. 🙏🙏🙏

Stay curious, everyone! ✨
Gratefully,

Big Adventure & A Little Break (Just in the Comments!) ❤️🌏
Hey Awesome Crew!
I have some super exciting news to share with you all! I'm about to head out on an absolute dream trip – I'll be spending a whole month exploring Asia! ✈️ I'm incredibly excited about this adventure, the new places, cultures, and inspirations waiting for me!
But don't worry! 😊 I've got good news for you – the channel won't miss a beat! I've been working like crazy behind the scenes over the past few weeks to get a bunch of awesome videos pre-recorded and scheduled for you while I'm gone. 🎬💪 They'll go live regularly, just like always. I really hope you enjoy them!
There's just one small heads-up regarding this trip, though. For the next month, my internet access might be pretty spotty, and honestly, I want to really immerse myself and soak up the whole experience. This means that unfortunately, I won't be able to reply to your wonderful comments under the videos while I'm away. 😔
I'm going to miss our chats and discussions in the comment section SO much! But PLEASE, PLEASE keep them coming! Keep sharing your thoughts, asking questions, and talking with each other! I promise, the moment I get back, I'll grab a huge coffee (or maybe some delicious Asian tea!) and read absolutely EVERY single comment. I'll catch up on everything and reply to as many as I possibly can. Your engagement and your words are seriously the biggest motivation for me! 🔥❤️
And who knows, maybe this trip will spark a ton of inspiration for some brand new, exciting content for the channel too? 😉
Wish me luck and safe travels! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here, for your incredible support, and for your understanding. It truly means the world to me.
Sending you all massive hugs, and I'll "see" you (in the comments!) in about a month! 🥰

Become a CO-CREATOR of "The Consciousness Puzzle" Podcast! 🧠💡
Hey everyone! 👋
I've got a HUGE request and an invitation for you!
As you know, I'm hosting the "The Consciousness Puzzle: Brains, Machines, and the Self" podcast 🧠🤖🧘, where we dive deep into one of the biggest mysteries in science and philosophy.
Your feedback is GOLD! ✨ A recent comment from @daolinh108 about missing Mark Solms in Ep. 1 (thanks for that!) really got me thinking. You guys have awesome insights and know what's important in this field, and I want this show to reflect that!
So, here's the invitation:
I want to create this podcast WITH YOU! Become CO-CREATORS of "The Consciousness Puzzle"! 🚀
Help me decide what specific topics, researchers, theories, or even critiques we absolutely NEED to cover in upcoming episodes.
Here's how you can help:
Got an idea? 🤔 Drop it in the comments below, but PLEASE tell me which planned episode it fits best! 🙏 This helps massively with organization.
Use this format: "Episode [Number] ([Topic]): Suggest covering [Your Suggestion]"
Here’s the plan for the next few episodes (so you know where to aim 😉):
➡️ Ep. 2: The Computational Mind (Computationalism, functionalism, Searle's Chinese Room & replies)
➡️ Ep. 3: Quantum Consciousness? A Physicist's Reality Check (Orch OR vs. decoherence physics - rigorous look, no pseudoscience!)
➡️ Ep. 4: Cracking the Code? GWT vs. IIT (Comparing Global Workspace Theory & Integrated Information Theory)
➡️ Ep. 5: Can AI Become Conscious? (LLMs, going beyond the Turing Test, deep ethical/philosophical questions)
➡️ Ep. 6: The Illusion of Self? (Neuroscience like split-brain, Hume, Dennett, Buddhist concept of Anatta)
➡️ (...and likely more as we explore! 😉)
Your ideas are invaluable and will help shape a podcast that truly dives into what interests YOU most. I don't want to miss anything crucial, and you can help make sure we don't! I promise to read all your suggestions and seriously consider them.
So, let me know your thoughts in the comments below! 👇 Can't wait to read them!
Let's build something amazing together! Thanks for being part of this journey! 🙌

Quick question for my amazing Hyperfocus community! (Need your input!)
Hey everyone! 👋
First off, just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you! 🙏 Seriously, I'm always so impressed by the comments and discussions happening here. The depth of the questions, especially the deep dives into physics and science stuff... just WOW. 🤯 Honestly, seeing how smart and curious you all are makes my day – that's exactly the kind of awesome community I dreamed of for Hyperfocus! 🤓
Okay, so I wanted to chat openly with you all about something.
You know I pour a lot of energy into making these videos (shout out to my fellow ADHD brains 🧠 – that hyperfocus/perfectionism struggle is REAL! 😉). I love reading your comments and I really want to give thoughtful replies to as many as possible.
Here's the tricky part: there are SO many great comments (which is amazing, seriously! 🎉), but juggling replying with my regular day jobs takes time. Plus, English isn't my first language (I'm Polish! 🇵🇱), and making sure my replies are accurate takes extra focus – especially when I want them to be perfect! 😅
So, to reply faster and avoid silly typos when writing quickly in English, I've often been writing my thoughts out in Polish first, then using an AI tool (like ChatGPT) to help translate. 🤖
But, some of you have pointed out (and you're totally right!) that sometimes those replies can sound a bit... well, robotic. 🤖 Definitely not the vibe I'm going for! I completely understand.
So, I wanted to ask YOU directly: Given the time crunch and the language thing, what works best for you when I reply? 🤔
Please vote in the poll below! 👇
Your thoughts on this are super helpful and will really help me figure out how to best connect with you all. Thanks so much for your understanding, for being such a brilliant community, and for sharing your thoughts! You guys rock. 🤘

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment to say I’m really sorry for not being able to respond to comments, especially under Shorts. I see them, I appreciate them, and I wish I had the time to reply to each one, but right now, life is absolutely crazy.
YouTube is my passion project—I don’t make money from it, and I run this channel purely out of love for science. But outside of this, I’m juggling a ton. I’m deep into my PhD, running multiple projects, and on top of that, my husband and I are in the middle of planning a huge move abroad. So yeah… things are hectic!
For now, I’ll be keeping the channel low-key, but I’m not going anywhere. I truly believe I’ll find a better balance soon. The reason my full-length videos have been so rare lately is that they take an enormous amount of time to research, write, and edit properly. When I do release them, I pour everything I have into them. That’s also where I’ll be hanging out in the comments—so if you want to chat, that’s the best place to find me.
Please bear with me, keep your fingers crossed for me, and know that I appreciate you all more than I can say. Thank you for your patience, for being here, and for making this community what it is.
Much love,
Oli from Hyperfocus ❤️

Hey! 💫
The channel is only two months old, and it’s growing faster than I ever imagined. 🥹 Honestly, it’s all thanks to you! Sometimes I wonder how real YouTubers manage this—I’m barely keeping up with the comments, and we don’t even have a thousand subscribers yet.
Since last week, I’ve been working on my first-ever longer video, almost an hour long, and it’s a huge challenge for me. Right now, I’m stuck choosing between creating or replying to comments. And you know what? That’s harder than it sounds because your comments are incredible. They often lead to deep, thoughtful discussions—exactly the kind I love.
I want you to know that every comment matters to me. Honestly, I’m more excited about them than the views! But sadly, there are only 24 hours in a day, and I’m still figuring out how to manage everything.
If I haven’t replied to your comment yet, I’m truly sorry. It doesn’t mean your words aren’t important—far from it. I just need some time to get the hang of it all. 😉 I really hope I can find a better rhythm soon and jump back into those amazing conversations with you.
Thank you so much for your support and patience. ❤️ You’re the reason I’m motivated to create more, better, and… longer videos! 😉
Stay hyperfocused,
Oli

Poll Time: I need your honest opinion! 💬
When I create longer videos, it takes me:
About 8 hours if I use AI for the voice, visuals, and music (like in the Casimir Effect video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qieYU...)
Or 2–3 days if I only use AI for the voice and do everything else by hand (like in the Hawking Radiation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyWeh...)
Do you notice a difference between the two?
Is the extra time and effort I put into videos like Hawking Radiation worth it to you? Or do you enjoy both styles equally?
🛠 PS: I’m also thinking about recording my own voice in the future. I recently bought a microphone, but I’m nervous—my English isn’t as polished as the AI narrator’s. That said, for 1,000 subscribers, I’ll release a video with my own voice and just go for it!
Your feedback means so much to me—it’ll help me decide how to move forward. Thanks for being here and supporting the channel! 🧡✨
Do you prefer videos where I spend more time adding a personal touch, like Hawking Radiation?

Hi Everyone!
I’ve been thinking about making a long, detailed video—something that really explores a topic in depth. One idea I have is chaos theory. Everyone always mentions the butterfly effect, but chaos theory is so much richer than that! I could dive into Lorenz’s work, explain how small changes in initial conditions can lead to unpredictable outcomes, and explore why it’s so fascinating in fields like weather, biology, and even economics.
But here’s the question—would anyone actually want to listen to me talk about Lorenz equations and strange attractors? 😅 Or do you have other ideas for a 30-minute to 1-hour video? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 🚀✨

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say how deeply sorry I am for not responding to your comments over the past few days. Life has been incredibly busy for me lately, and since I don’t make a living from YouTube, I’ve had to focus on work—even on weekends. While I’m able to keep up with posting the longer episodes as planned, I just haven’t had enough time to reply to all your amazing messages.
Please know that I read every single comment, and they truly mean the world to me. Your thoughts, support, and engagement are what make this channel such a special place, and it breaks my heart to not be able to connect with you as much as I’d like right now.
I promise to catch up as soon as I can, and I’m so grateful for your understanding and patience in the meantime. Thank you for being here, for your kindness, and for making this community what it is. I appreciate you more than I can put into words.
Sending you all my love and gratitude,
Oli

Hey everyone! 🌟✨
I just introduced a numeric scale (1 to 3) to indicate each video’s difficulty level. 😄📚 Level 1 means more basic/foundational content, Level 2 is intermediate, and Level 3 is advanced—sometimes I even call it 3+ if it’s really deep. 🔬💡 These ratings are purely my personal (and somewhat subjective) way of letting you know how complex each topic might be. 🤓📈
Now I’d love your input: Which difficulty would you like to see more often on my channel? 🤔👇 Check out the poll below and cast your vote for:
1️⃣ Level 1 (beginner)
2️⃣ Level 2 (intermediate)
3️⃣ Level 3 (advanced)
Thanks so much for being part of this community—I can’t wait to see which level gets your vote! 💬❤️
