It's been a while.

Why haven't I uploaded any videos or appeared on various social networking sites recently?
The reason, in a nutshell, is that my PC broke down.

I had been using a Mac Book Pro (2014 Mid) for a long time, and although the version of Purrdata was still 2.12.0, I had no complaints and was enjoying a comfortable patching life.

However, due to repeated PC crashes and glitches ...... my overuse, MBP finally ran out of power.

I knew he was nearing the end of his life, so I backed up the patches I had made to a USB and was able to get by, but his death brought a new problem.

It was only recently that I welcomed a used iMac (2019 model) instead.
The macOS was switched to Sonoma (I had been using High Sierra until then), and I was eager to do my best in the new development environment, but…

I'm getting a lot of GUI glitches and mysterious freezes, and the patches I've been making don't work properly. pd freezes are usually due to an infinite loop somewhere, but even after fixing all the suspect areas in the patch, it still “accidentally” freezes. I found a post that moonlib/mknob was causing problems, so I tried eliminating mknob in the patch as a trial. However, it had no effect.

I thought it was because I suddenly upped the version of PurrData to 2.19.3, so I reinstalled 2.12.0 once, but it says “Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of NW.js.” and could not even start.

So, very reluctantly, I'm going to rebuild the patch so far using either Pd vanilla or PlugData. I have also been working on an instructional patch for beginners, but I will be reworking that as well.

To those who commented that they wanted a tutorial video for Pd, sorry I didn't post one at all.

For now, that's all.
