Even though I grew up a city guy I always loved the outdoors. Last year , while skimming stones at Pennypack park in Philadelphia I happened to find a unique stone. Upon much investigation the world of portable rock art and native tools has opened my eyes to history hiding in plain sight.
Either that or the people writing code in this augmented reality got lazy when it comes to rocks.
Not everyone sees what my wife and I show them after our rock hunts and I know I annoy the shit out of my family and friends but from what I see other collectors posting on YouTube I know I'm not totally nuts.
Native Americans were in North America for 10,000 years and people act like there is zero trace of their existence besides the names we still use on our streets. Looking for rocks at worst equals time outdoors with nature. At best maybe we find a connection to history and our inner spirit.
