I don’t know why Indians love to call it a ‘tight slap’. There is nothing actually tight about it. And yet, there was an entire movement built around it, where a tight slap was offered to every person who said politically incorrect things on social media. Native speakers of English and most of the Western world will have no clue what sort of a slap a tight one might be because they  use ‘hard’ as an adverb that qualifies the verb ‘slap’.

For example: The officer slapped him hard.’

So, how did we Indians manage to convert the slap from a ‘hard’ one to a ‘tight’ one? I think the answer lies in the act itself. When Indian parents and teachers ask the rhetorical question about whether the child wants a slap, the hand is always held firm, in a right angle, with fingers joined together tightly. Perhaps that is why it came to be called a ‘tight slap’. However, when native speakers call it a ‘hard slap’, they are referring to how hard you are going to be hit. Trust me, I know! It always felt hard, not tight.'

Husband:
Watch the game at the pub.

Wife:
What is offside?

Husband:
No, it's a goal. Just kidding.

Wife:
OK, but what is offside?

Husband: Offside is the name of the Coach.

Wife:
Where's the Coach?

Husband:
He is off the field.

Wife:
Why isn't he playing?

Husband:
No, he doesn't play. He changes the players and the game tactics.

Wife:
Tell me, is Maradona there?

Husband:
No, he dîed.

Wife:
Oh my God, how?

A king had a very special parrot. It was very intelligent, so the king and the parrot used to discuss a lot. One day the parrot told the king that it has been a long time since he met his parents. So the king permitted him to go and come back in four-five days. The parrot went. When he was coming back to the palace, he thought that he should take a good gift for the king. Now the parrot remembered an Amrit fruit, which used to grow on a special tree on a hill. The parrot went to the hill and took the Amrit fruit. At night, he kept the fruit beside him and went to sleep on the tree. Now at night a snake came from somewhere and bit the Amrit fruit. The poison spread in the fruit. The parrot was unaware of this, when he presented that fruit to the king. The king was very happy, but a minister said that it is a wild fruit and it is not safe to eat it. So a piece of it was thrown to the parrot. The parrot ate it and died. The king got very angry at this and immediately it was thrown out.

After some time a tree grew from the seed and the tree bore a lot of fruits, but the king had strictly instructed that no one should eat the fruit, because it is poisonous.

Before that tree was cut, an old man reached there from somewhere and he plucked the fruit and ate it and the old man became young and healthy again. When the king came to know about this, he felt very sorry.

So remember, it happens many times in life that the other person has committed a mistake but first it is important to understand whether the mistake has been done intentionally or the mistake has happened by chance. Inadvertent mistakes should be forgiven and forgotten but one who does that intentionally is the real snake in the grass.

. A grandson noticed his grandpa who looked rather tensed. So to break the ice, he asked his grandpa one question while on the way back from school. "What is the difference between wife and girlfriend?" Grandpa thought for a minute and simplified the explanation like this. "Listen son, Wife is like a TV and girlfriend is like a mobile phone. At home you watch TV, but when you go out you take your mobile phone with you.
Sometimes you enjoy TV, but most of the time you play with your mobile phone. TV is free for life but for the mobile service, if you don't pay the bill, the services will be terminated.
TV is big and bulky but the mobile phone is cute, slim, curvy, replaceable, and portable. Operational costs for TV is often acceptable. But for the mobile, it is often high and demanding. TV has a remote, but mobile doesn't. Most importantly, mobile is a two-way communication. You talk and listen, but with the TV, you must only listen whether you want to or not. Last but not least, TV is still superior because TVs don't have viruses that infect them, but mobiles often do, and hence are easily hacked or stolen. Take care, stick to TV only.
