Building my own clock in art class. Gonna attempt to make a working spring movement

Paper for the spring, thick strong cardboard for the plates & gears n such. If it doesn’t work then that’s okay

Just wanna share this, I make music. Have been since 2022.
My old music isn’t that great but these days I’m pretty much a professional.

It’s rlly a dream to make it into the music industry so if u can take a listen that would mean a lot since it’s been 3 years and 0 songs of mine have exploded lol.

U won’t be able to find my band by just looking up my name, it just brings up “thunderstorm sounds for sleeping” lol. You can only find me by searching up one of the songs I released so here “time is ticking (remake)”

It’s a remake of a old song I did.

Hopefully a new clock is coming
I’m waiting to be paid and the eBay seller accepted my offer for it but said “if the item hasn’t sold by that time I can do that for you”

It’s Westminster, it’s art deco & also American

A very unusual model for this specific company
I own a Westminster chime clock by this company

Ain’t gonna spoil it so you’ll have to sit with this “what is it?” Feeling muahahaha

Welcome to the collection
A interesting early 1970s Chalet (yeah it’s Korean) wall clock. It’s a interesting one bc it’s high quality. K maybe not high but it’s surprisingly good and it also only strikes on the hour
Movement is a typical 31 day movement but it’s a older version and the movement is incredibly heavy. The entire clock itself is incredibly heavy. Heavier than my international and the Brentwood. It was surprisingly made with care. So probably a model before they went all cheap and mass produced

And I also got this really interesting 50s-60s Chinese alarm clock. Runs great

Well other that it arrived in pieces nothing major was damaged
Despite the movement hanging on by 1 screw the movement survived with 0 damage
the bezel was absolutely toast and the Bakelite dial snapped in 2.
But other than that it survived and it’s running

Im still very happy with it and tbh I like the lil crack going down it. It adds character
Long journey from london to Canada and yet is still running despite everything that happened
Just shows Enfield clocks are tough little goobers :3

Thanks JJ :3 I love the Enfield

hope the Forestville doesn’t end up like the Enfield
I prob should’ve used a bigger box for it. I think we both should’ve used bigger boxes 😭

Can anybody help identify this mantle clock here. I have no pic of the movement But it looked very much like this Black Forest time only movement. It had that open spring with that bar across it
It had the regular pendulum system like a German clock with the suspension spring & the pendulum rod n such

I took the pic of this clock a while ago and didn’t buy it but I wish I did

If y’all can help identifying it and if u can send screenshots of what u think the movement might be to like my discord “SnowstormTheFurry” that would be great. I have a clear remembrance of the movement in my head so I’ll recognize it when I see it

Yes this was copy and pasted from the ClockTV server bc I’m too lazy to retype lol

I started the process by using my other Seth Thomas 124 to do proper measuring for the Portsmouth’s new movement
I’ve put the holes in the front and reinstalled the electric motor for now until I get the 124 movement for it

Welcome to the collection

Gonna eventually convert it into a Wind Up since I don’t rlly trust electric but it does work
Has a striking issue but not a big deal

Update: 1010 is gonna ship me a 124 movement soon so yay
