I am gonna dive back into work sooner than I first said. Other than some gnarly bruises (turns out bruises can show up late when you have fibro) my body has healed up enough to not impede my daily business. Considering recent events, it's time to bury my head in a new project. I did my civic duty of voting but beyond that much of my future is out of my control, so rather than commiserating over an uncertain next 4 years I want to keep myself busy with the things I can control.
I noticed that I have now done every version of Anarchy Rainbow... EXCEPT for the Grand Fest version! After I make that, I want to put all of them into one video, an Anarchy Montage if you will. I'm struggling to make lyrics for Short Order so I think Grand Fest Anarchy Rainbow will be the next video I put out to complete the montage!

What's next for the channel?
I have to admit, after working on Three Wishes for 6 weeks and still posting 13 videos within the time I was working on it, I am so burnt out. I am also recovering from a fall (slipped in the shower, nothing broken and brain scans are fine but I hit my head so hard against the shower handle part of it broke off) so I will be taking a little break from making content. Probably a week, two weeks max I'd say.
In terms of what I'll do next, well we have 18 new performances I can make music videos for! But I want to step back from the Grand Fest to work on Side Order music! I'm doing them chronologically, so Short Order is up next. Then, #47 Onward! I already have lyrics written for that one that I think you guys will love.
Regarding the Grand Fest performances, I will probably hold Patreon polls to find out what they want to see next!
Regarding Octoprism, I wanted to have a Frostyfest in December but we'll have to see how that turns out. I do still have 2 songs on the back burner that I have yet to finish, Stargazer and Thalassophonia. I want the latter to come out October of next year, and Stargazer I'm literally just procrastinating on the vocals > >;;
Regarding 3D Octoprism, guys Blender is scary and I gotta learn it before I can use those models ;v; Commissioning those 3D models was a long-game play, Octoprism isn't going anywhere, but custom animated 3D content with them is going to take a really really really really really long time cuz I'm so intimidated by Blender =w=;; We may have more modded content coming out in the mean time, I'll be talking to Wasarety about it!
And to end off this message, I just want to say to all of my fellow Americans: We'll be okay.

Thank you all SO MUCH for the amazing response to my Three Wishes music video! I tried really hard to make the lyrics match the theme, and I have over 133GB of footage, equally to over 60 hours. I wanted to get those PERFECT shots, and since past the opening (modded footage courtesy of @Wasarety!) all the footage was captured in-game, if I missed a shot I had to wait 5 minutes for the song to loop around ;v;
Big thank you to my 3 language collaborators, @Alessio798 for Italian, @SplashRoad for Japanese, and @VismayaSpoon for the Hindi! I am amazed at how the lyrics they heard, in completely different languages, still fit the theme of the song!

I'm very happy with the pareidolic ones I have so far (especially the lyrics from my foreign language consultants!) and I found this! As many have pointed out, there are some syncing issues and recording glitches on my "Grand Festival All Performances" video. Enough people are bringing this up that I am starting to consider reuploading it. Should I?

I hope to make three versions of Three Wishes (how fitting!) one with the official English lyrics, one with no lyrics, and one with pareidolic lyrics. Considering how I've used Japanese and Hindi/other prominent Indian languages for Shiver and Frye, I would like to do that again. I have contacted Splashroad for the Japanese, but I need someone who can speak Hindi (again or another prominent Indian language). If you can, if you are willing to help try to hear your language in the song, and if you have a Discord or Twitter, please reply below!

The poll has spoken! A version of Three Wishes with pareidolic lyrics is on the cards! I actually started writing some last night, just to try it out. But, in all honesty because of how long the song is, I may not finish it. I wanted to do the poll to gauge interest in that idea, but it's not a guarantee. Something I COULD do though is making an official English version where I try to sync the English karaoke to the Inklish syllables! To better help people learn the lyrics and sing along.
Either way my Three Wishes vid will probably premiere next month, but I should have Out of Order done within the week!

My 12 minute Three Wishes won't have any lyrics, I am focusing solely on the editing and camera work. However, as I've been listening to it for hours and hours and HOURS (I literally worked about 40 hours during the Grand Fest and got 5 hours of Three Wishes footage) that auditory pareidolia kicks in and I start to hear language in it. The question is, would anyone be interested in a version Three Wishes with pareidolic lyrics?

I had no idea they would be dropping 19 fully choreographed numbers on us, but all of it being accessible via amiibos means I have all the time in the world to make individual music videos for all of them!
My first of the Grand Fest songs will be Three Wishes. I got 5 hours of footage, and I'll be making it a 12 minute music video. No lyrics, since Nintendo already gave us an English translation. I'm focusing all on the editing!
But, that's going to take a LONG time to make considering the 5 hours of footage to sync and sort through. In the mean time Ebb & Flow Out of Order will be my next video! I got most of it done before the fest, so it should only be a few more days until it's ready to upload!

Graduated art school 2017, now this is what I choose to do with my degree. I primarily make Nintendo content, I created the idol duo Octoprism, and I livestream on Twitch in my free time.
If you look far enough back on my channel you'll find old movie reviews and other random fun things. But my main content is Splatoon music videos with karaoke-style lyrics. The soundtrack's lyrics are not in a real language, instead "squid language" which is intentionally untranslatable. The music is fun to sing along to, but it's difficult to learn the real gibberish lyrics, so by inducing an illusion called auditory pareidolia, I can create lyrics in real language to sing along to.
