I took a couple weeks off to focus on finishing my manuscript (after over two years of work, it's done!). I should be back to a regular upload schedule by this upcoming weekend, including new videos focused on Sindri and Odin, looking at some things I missed in previous videos. I'm also working on an extended series of video essays on Elden Ring. I'm hoping it will be the most thorough narrative analysis of the game anyone has done. From Software are genuine masters of cosmic horror, a genre I've been obsessed with for a very long time, and I'm really excited to dig into it.

I turned off Channel Memberships today.
I started the memberships to get a promotional offer from YouTube last year. I forgot all about it, but I noticed today that people have actually been subscribing to it, so I turned it off.
If I ever do an actual Patreon or other kind of subscription, I'll give you something actually worthwhile in exchange for your money. I'm not gonna take your money and then just give you a stupid worthless hot dog badge.
So, if you saw that your subscription was cancelled, that's why.
YouTube is giving me free money to start a Channel Membership subscription. To be completely clear, no one should pay to sign up for this subscription. I'm just doing the bare minimum to get the promotional offer from YouTube. If you see an option to sign up for a membership, don't do it. Don't pay for it. The only thing you'll get is a hotdog badge on any comments you post on this channel. I don't need your money. I just want YouTube's money.
I am currently very behind on my video schedule. I am sorry for this. I'm in the middle of a move and other assorted chaos which will be resolved soon. I expect to be back to posting one or two videos a week by the end of this month.
Kratos Part 2 should be ready sometime in November. I apologize for the delay.
