We did it!😆 So it turns out we won the Film festival! First off THANK YOU everyone who supported me through this and on the channel over the years. It’s been such a great feeling watching everyone get behind a film that was special to me. The feedback on the film was amazing and the support, through the roof! I don’t think that a post went up on Instagram that didn’t get a tsunami of interaction each time, and the DMs from people sharing what the film meant to them have been nothing less then moving.. What a whirlwind the last few months have been. I knew from my last attempt that this competition takes a LOT of time but this year was even more demanding then I anticipated, definitely had me second guessing my calculations. The planing, filming and editing really is only the beginning. Then the promotion starts which was surprisingly all consuming. It had me putting everything aside to just focus on doing my best and to be totally honest, I’m not quite sure I had a backup plan if we didn’t do well😅. I can’t tell you how much this means for my family and what a relief this is to get the win. So thanks again for everything!!! And YES I promise new video this week! A long one😂🏆👏🤙

Well that’s almost a wrap! With less then 16hrs to go to vote and watch I think we’ve done about all we can... Just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU!!! for all the support. Well we made it back in through the bar, was actually pretty hairy so glad I packed up when I did. Here’s a pic of the pocket rocket and the big blow out that we talked about on the live stream. So no red boat for a while I’d say… I don’t think this is fixable unfortunately.
Also in an effort to help satisfy everyone’s expectations when they click on the lives streams, i have decided to name them “ The LIVE STREAM Fishing Podcast #1” and so on… something that comes up on the live streams anytime I don’t catch fish and I leave them up on the channel is that all I did is talk. Hopefully the name podcast will help people understand this is live streaming and is more about the chat and interaction then just catching a fish. What do you think? Good idea or a bit dumb😅

A little while back I got a chance to jump on a video podcast hosted by @alton_goods with @TheSillySwagman to have a chat about all things outdoors... turned out to be a great chat where we touched on lots of things that are often asked on the channel and went a little deeper into my mindset on what it means to find those “real” adventures, epic or simple, hidden amongst a sea of curated content, rules and the need to work… and keep me wanting to head back outside in search for the next journey, looking for that adventure that can’t be planed for.
