There won’t be a Sunday catch up Vlog today as we’re celebrating Roo turning 16! An early birthday celebration as their Dad is away next week with the Year 6 school journey so will miss Roo’s actual birthday. I’ll be back next weekend for a catch up xx

I’ve just published my latest blog where I share the latest Sew Hayley Jane classic box for August 2024. Please help me decide what to make with the pretty cotton fabric that came in the box. I’ve got 2.5 metres of fabric and my two options are:

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience and kindness whilst I’ve been away. I’ve got some good news for anyone that has missed my videos - I managed to film a bumper fabric and pattern haul today. I’m planning to get it edited and published ready for Friday evening.

I’m still not going to be back to my usual schedule of two vlogs a week for a while yet but I’ll hopefully get some more time over the weekend to film a males video.

Thanks for all the support.

Hi everyone,

I’ve had a couple of kind messages asking when I’ll be back with a new vlog as it’s been over a month since my last video.

Over Easter Roo had spinal surgery that resulted in an extended stay in hospital and a lot of stress and emotions for us all. We’re home but in a bubble of getting better and will be in this bubble for a while yet.

I’m not sure when I’ll be back as the journey to full health is going to be a long one but I do have a few videos I filmed before the surgery so if I get chance I’ll edit them and get them out over the next month or so.

Realistically I probably won’t be back filming for another month or two. So I just wanted to say thank you for all of your messages and support - I really appreciate it.

Enjoy this little sneak peek of a project I’m slowly chipping away at - I managed a few hours of sewing at the weekend and it was wonderful.

Lots of love,

Liz xx

I’ll be posting my usual Sunday catch up video a little later than usual this week. I’ve enjoyed a lovely weekend with my family so haven’t had time to edit the video. Hopefully I’ll get it edited and uploaded tomorrow evening xx

Happy New Year everyone!

I have taken a little break for the last month or so from filming and sharing any videos as December is always a little busy in school. I’ve also allowed self doubt to creep which has meant I haven’t felt confident filming new videos.

I’ve got a little bit of time before the new school term starts so I’d like to get back on the vlogging train!

Please let me know what your favourite type of videos are and if you’ve got any specific videos you’d like me to film. I’m planning to be back at the weekend.

Thanks for all of your support.

See you all soon.

Hi everyone,

I mentioned this in my last Sunday catch up video but I thought I’d post on my community tab too in case you didn’t hear. It’s now Christmas market season. Here’s some of the yummy cakes I’ve been busy baking. This means I have very limited time (no time at the moment) to sew and film videos so I’m going to take a short break from my Sunday catch ups. I’ve got a few videos already filmed that need editing so if I manage to get some time to do this there should be so mid week videos. I’m hoping to have time to film again once we break up for school. Thanks for all of your support on my channel this year.

Love Liz xx

Thank you to everyone that gave me advice on the crochet collar I’d started that bunched up too much. I followed the majority of suggestions and started again! It’s looking so much better already. I really appreciate all of your helpful comments. They gave me the confidence to start again xx

Hi everyone,

It feel likes it’s been a while since I’ve had a vlog out so thought I’d explain my absence as I’ve had a few kind messages. I had some planned surgery after I returned from my summer holiday that meant a few weeks of bed rest. I’m recovered now but combine this with a change of role at work and the start of the autumn term I’ve been left with very little headspace for sewing and vlogging. It’s been nearly two months since I sat at my sewing machine which is not like me at all! I’ve had crochet for company instead and I’ve actually enjoyed teaching Lola to crochet too. I’m planning to be back in a few weeks once we’ve celebrated Ruby’s birthday.

Thanks for all of your support, messages and kindness. I’m really missing sewing and vlogging but I know self care is so important.

Take care and see you all soon.

Liz xx
