We’ve got a new record coming out this Friday. To say it has not been easy to push through after the passing of Rowdy would be an understatement.
For those that don’t know, The Steel Woods / The Woods was a vision of Jason ‘Rowdy’ Cope for a very long time . He was not just the guitar player for this band but the creative visionary and the founding father. Our third record due out Friday, All of Your Stones, was in many ways his Magnum Opus. The lyrics and songs selected have taken on a new meaning now in his passing. Even the title of the record, sheds light into our story. All of Your Stones is a song about overcoming adversity and triumph in the face of obstacles. When we finished the record in December, we all thought the last stones had all been thrown. Little did we know, the heaviest stone of losing Rowdy was around the corner and once again, we would need to push through. The music he has left behind, will serve as the foundation for The Steel Woods moving forward. Rowdy always said you can’t make this stuff up..
We are extremely proud of this record and what it means to this moment in time. We look forward to releasing this music to the world on Friday. 🦅👆🏼#CantBuyPassion

The Steel Woods have captivated audiences with their powerful sound and heartfelt lyrics since their formation in 2016. Co-founded by Wes Bayliss and Jason Cope, the band has amassed over 200 million streams in their short lifespan. Their songs ‘Axe’, ‘Blind Lover’ and ‘Out of The Blue’ have been featured on Taylor Sheridan's hit TV shows 'Yellowstone’ and ‘Tulsa King.’ Road warriors at heart, The Steel Woods have had toured rigorously, building a loyal fan base brick by brick. Tragedy struck in 2021 when founder and creative visionary, Jason Cope, passed away due to complications from diabetes. The band pressed on, continuing to tour, and released their final studio album, 'On Your Time', in the Fall of 2023. With four studio records behind them, Wes Bayliss shared the news to their fans in March of 2024 that The Steel Woods will stop touring at the end of the year, putting an end to ‘one of the most promising new outfits in independent roots music.'
