Based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada, Leo Maia is a Brazilian progressive rock / metal singer, passionate composer and self producer. His style is heavily grounded on vintage 70s prog influences, blended with post-rock and spiced up with heavy metal riffs, resulting in an original hybrid sometimes rock sometimes metal progressive music.
Leo focuses on making organic modern progressive rock, exploring harmonic dynamics and ever-shifting odd time signatures while glueing everything together through smooth melodic lines. His proposal is to not depend on overly technical instrumental mechanics, but focusing on composition, songwriting and message in order to achieve a progressive sound.
