Here's three graphics from our Arabic class, The Arabic Reader, which explain how the pronoun is used to refer back to the actor/(in)direct object. In the third graphic I have spelled out what the sentence would look like if we didn't use pronouns. I'll be uploading a video shortly, in sha Allah, with some commentary.
