My father, a mandolin player encouraged me to read & study music to attain my goals. With years of studying & performing, I acquired the technique and musicality in the fields of composition
& performing on stage with duos, trios, quartets and big bands.
In the early 70's I spent my summers studying at Eastman School of Music Summer Jazz Studies. I attributes my command of the instrument with studies with Gene Bertonncini, Lloyd Garber, Reg Schwager & Ed Bickert at the Banff School of Fine Arts.
As a guitar teacher both in the Niagara Region and the Toronto area, my goal was for my guitar performance to sound like a complete orchestra. I found through trial and error that the nylon string guitar would allow me to sound at least as two -three guitar players. In 2004, I released my solo recording: "I Remember You."
